👋 Meet Trevelayne Faller, Communications Officer for EU-funded raw materials research!
In this #GeoTalk, you'll learn about her work as comms officer for MOSMIN, an EU project that uses satellites and AI to track mine waste, spot pollution, and recover valuable materials from it. She also highlights how #geoscientists can play an important role in closing the gap between scientific innovation and #policy implementation.

#Geoscientists analyze rocks in mountain belts to reconstruct how they once moved downwards into the depths and then returned to the surface. This history of burial and exhumation sheds light on the mechanisms of plate #tectonics and #mountain building.

On the #dansk GEUS portal there's a lot of information on the survey that created this borehole. It was a combined geologic and drinking water (for deep water aquifers) survey.
I looked at it with a friend who's a environmental consultant. However I am still lost on why spectral gamma data was collected from each parallel borehole. I guess one can use it to determine clay / minerals / salt composition. But is it used for a broader purpose?
Any #geoscientists / #earthscience people here?

I guess I skipped the introduction part. So, I'm doing a PhD on temporal aliasing in future gravity satellites/missions, it's my last year! Currently based at Politecnico di Milano. Have a love for geosciences but also due to my topic I am super interested in cold atoms in space. Oh, btw, I have a podcast called A Bell Chimes!
