J'ai abandonné liferea il y a 10 ans, je consulte uniquement sur android, avec #flym , et depuis peu avec #CapyReader.

D'ailleurs, ça tombe pile poil, je viens de pouetter @blast_info qui ne respecte pas le protocole et le détourne pour servir un texte de pub pour ses appels à dons. J'ai rien contre les appels à dons, c'est très bien, mais détourner les protocoles, merde, c'est relou.

D'ailleurs le site de l' @humanite_fr c'est pareil.

Im #Fediverse existieren Serverplattformen, die sich auf Rich Site Summary (kurz #RSS) verstehen.

Vielleicht weniger ein Einsteiger- und mehr ein Fortgeschrittenen-Thema. Zum Thema RSS siehe auch:

Um die Beiträge (Tröts) eines Kontos auf einer #Mastodon-#Instanz per RSS-Feed zu lesen, ergänze die #URL des Kontos um ein .rss:
Aus https://norden.social/@celeo
wird https://norden.social/@celeo.rss

Dies läßt sich dann in einen #Feedreader einbinden, z.B. #Liferea oder auch #Flym oder #Feeder.

Leider hat sich die RSS-Umsetzung von #Mastodon meiner Meinung nach im Lauf der Zeit (3.x-Serie) verschlechtert.

I use #Flym for now. Is it great? No; it's pretty basic. And feed discovery isn't always great.

But it runs completely locally on the phone, and it supports opml so it's easy to get your feed collection into it, and out again should you need it

Since Nov 2022, I've split my online activity between interacting on #Mastodon & reading #RSS feeds. I'm not a fan of "the cloud" over data privacy concerns, so I use RSS readers that store article content locally on the client device:

Which #RSS / #Atom reader are you using on #Android? I'm still in love with #Flym but sadly the author decided to stop development after #Google has introduced some new mandatory rules for news apps: https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/10177647?visit_id=637410766788299017-71528281&rd=2#news

App should be #FreeSoftware / #FOSS. Might consider to setup a server software to synchronize my feeds across multiple devices.

#Flym is for me the best #RSS reader that I have ever seen. Specially for being able to retrieve the full text of the feed when the content is truncated (I think the only one that does this magic).

If someone ones to fork this project and continue with it for F-droid, please share it here so we all can know about that since there are many issues (like bugs or requested features).

Will you keep using Flym? If you are going to switch to another app, which one?

RSS reader #Flym is dead 😢 Didn't use it any-more since recently, but it's end is a loss for the FOSS Android ecosystem.
I think it would've been great to try and contest this approach/'news' labelling by Google, but understand the potential effort. Many thanks to all those that contributed to the app! 🙏

I just realized that #newpipe has an RSS button, this makes it a lot easier to get notifications trough an RSS app like #flym.
I will make use of this more often

I am thinking of a bot/app/script or any piece of code that could index #blog from #fosstodon users (maybe more) to have it automatically configured in my feed reader (I currently use #Flym but could change). Indexing could use our metadata profile. So many blogs really good to follow but It is hard to maintain a list manually. Any idea ?

Selbst wenn ich mir das leisten könnte (und wollte, da sich die Artikel zu 90% mit heise decken), wie soll ich in meinem RSS Reader #flym Cookies zulassen?

Sinn und Zweck ist ja eben die Aggregation von Artikeln/Kanälen in einet App sowie die Nutzung von Benachrichtigungen.

Die Mühe mehrmals täglich den Browser zu öffnen und selbst zu suchen, möchte ich mir nicht antun...
