Help i got hired at a military academy despite not having appropriate credentials and then i had a weird fling with my supervisor (who used to distrust me) in a moment of shared emotional vulnerability, and that was probably a mistake because i then betrayed him and his entire family and now we¦re at war but i still kinda like him and want to give birth to his child?

Except told from the perspective of the supervisor, who is trying to deal with the fact that his sister is abusive and his daughter is smarter than him and more independent than he would like and his wife is long dead but he never got counselling for it, but maybe here is someone he can actually talk to as he tries to make sense of it all.

Or at least have sex with, to take his mind off all of the above.

Today's rec is the fic series that got me into both playing & reading #TheWitcher | Wiedzmin | #Ведьмак.

Inexplicfics' "Accidental Warlord AU" diverges from canon by having Geralt ask "hey what should Witchers do about human monsters?" well before canon, starts with Jaskier being delivered to Kaer Morhen as tribute for the newly established warlord Geralt, & proceeds to make life better for every possible character, little by little. I love it.

My favorite parts of fandom are hearing about what people are enthusiastic about, and reading excellent stories.
My favorite tropes involve mutual pining; when the spiky one gets some TLC, well-deserved revenge, and/or therapy; crack treated seriously; and time travel or parallel dimensions where characters see how things could play out differently.
I'm going to try and be a more active contributor to the fandom space here, particularly with sharing #FicRecs.
