  2. @mntmn okay, before I start pondering how the lid will look/lock in place, I just wanna run this past you so I don't go too far off the rails. 😅

The bigger holes are the same positioning and diameter as the 100mm VESA mount holes.

The small holes line up with the holes in the battery board PCBs.

The slot should(?) be big enough to handle the pass-through to the other enclosure.

The rounded corners should match the main computer enclosure, for aesthetics.

    Any thoughts/concerns so far?

Colleague let me know there's something similar and it's open-source! "Sweet Home 3D" (sweethome3d.com/). Haven't given it a spin but looks promising.

  5. Okay, follow up to my #3dDesign #3Dprinting project - gladtech.social/@skullvalanche

I have printed a working prototype, but it's got some issues I wanted to fix, so I've tweaked the design again to try to solve for them.

    1. The bracket is slightly too wide, and doesn't nest inside the pedal quite right. Adjusted the width narrower by 4mm.

    2. My pedals are hybrid flat/clipless pedals, and they seem to insist on nesting clipless side down, which doesn't sit as well in the bracket as I'd like. Added a little notch for the clipless mechanism.

    3. The screw holes were too far apart and only 1 of them was able to screw into the wall stud. adjusted them to be closer together.

Pictures attached are of the V3 prototype (hopefully showing the aforementioned issues).

Screenshots are of the new V4 with adjustments. 🤞

  6. I’m still trying to perfect the Pedal Support part to make it also printable without any supports.

As I was posting this message I just had an idea of how to do it.

Guess I'll follow up with the revision version when it's ready. 😅

  7. Okay, so I wanted to print a wall-mount for my bike.

    Something sorta like printables.com/model/499062-bi

But that design has a lot of sharp angles and would require a lot of supports and post-printing cleanup.

So I made these for the wheels, which print with 0 supports and 0 cleanup.

  8. is supremely suited to quickly do some technical drawings. Handed this to our institute's machinist and they were very happy to make me the part 😊

  9. I'm growing unashamed to just use TinkerCAD now when I need something quick and simple, which isn't more than a set of geometric shapes... which is a surprisingly amount of stuff.

  10. A better way to harness the wind ?

Mechanical principle validated by a first physical prototype. Now looking for makers to build and field-test. Collaborative R&D. Make profits from it : referral links and R&D awards.
