Today I read a #mdzs (perhaps also #TheUntamed) fic that was much clearer on how jc was supposed to have come out of the events leading to wwx's death with his morals intact. It's a #xicheng and #WangXian post-canon fic that deals mostly with lxc's self-loathing and wwx & jc reconciliation. Lots of complicated feelings and hurt/comfort, and I'm not really sold on jc as secret hero, but it's a lovely take & interesting character study.
