Curious if others have run into this on Bluesky: no post editing means every correction requires delete/repost. Bots reply again, and those replies stay permanently because there’s no “Clear All Notifications” option. Over time this creates a cluttered, unmanageable feed. Editing, bot controls, or notification cleanup tools would help a lot.

Been living in @Vivaldi full-time for a little over 2 years now, and I still don’t miss Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. As a Vivaldi ambassador and a security nerd, the built-in tracker/ad blocking plus per-site controls are exactly the kind of “privacy by default” I want in a browser.

I wrote up how I set up Vivaldi’s blocklists when moving people over from the big browsers: mapping common uBlock/AdGuard setups, choosing the right sources, and keeping sites usable without turning protection off globally.

Since I have a #gotosocial server set up, I'm going to move my #bot over to it, and create new ones there, too.

I know how to migrate the existing account to a new server. But I also know it won't copy the posts.

There are some tools to copy them, but the ones I've seen create new ones.

Is there an existing tool that will insert them into the DB with the original timestamps? Since I own the server, may as well.

Or is that a bad idea?
