Dispatch from #Brooklyn #NYC — In the last 48 hrs, I’ve seen 4 ambulances parked outside residential buildings/houses. In 2 instances, they were loading people in on stretchers.
On the #MTA bus: out of ~25 passengers, at least 5 had loud, wet coughs and/or BIG sniffling. That sounds like 20% of people out in public w/active illnesses to me!

Completely anecdotal:
In January (~5 months after having had #COVID for the first & only time) I began experiencing nerve pain on the very surface of my skin. Localized, almost like one "patch" of skin on my thigh, upper arm, or forearm was irritated.
It felt akin to pins & needles, but manifested more in terms of sensitivity than numbness. Not debilitating, but uncomfortable and annoying.
Even the slightest touch (e.g. wearing clothes) hurt.

We said hi, our dogs said hi. Pause. Then she says, staring at my #N95:
“Are you feeling under the weather or…?”

Went to the gym in an #N95, as always, to lift some weights. Much more crowded than usual. Several visibly sick people. #CO2 was at 2875 ppm. Two other people wearing masks—one #KN95 worn properly, one cloth fully under the nose 🤦🏼♀️ Ew.

Ethically and morally, it is wrong that kids have to suffer with illness, disability, and even death as a direct result of their parents’ ignorance to scientific information.
But, then, there probably is no use in outright blaming parents, and esp not as a whole. When I actually examine who I’m angry at, it’s those who know better and still choose to act with no regard for others.

#CO2 reading of 534 ppm* in my #Brooklyn apartment this AM—one adult (me) and two cats. One window cracked open -2 inches. Not bad!
Note: reading was taken after I’d been rushing around doing household chores (i.e. vacuuming, washing dishes) for 30 minutes, so I suspect I would’ve gotten a lower reading if I’d been sentient.
