"I do have to wonder how many #zionists realize that they’re permanently giving the term #antisemitism boy who cried wolf #connotations. The #word is tainted to the point that I’m not sure it’s viable in discussions of actual antisemitism anymore. It’s really grim to be in a position as a #Jew where every time I see someone describe something as antisemitic I have to spend 5 minutes digging through their profile before I can know if they’re being genuine"

How does #art come into being for me? Mostly by looking. By shifting the #perspective while observing, by #connotations.
A package is supposed to go into the recycling bin. A strip of words from another one. I see them white, painted with gesso. As a basket with a handle. It should overflow with paper #butterflies. #Humans and their making of #species #waste. #Beauty. Longing. Possibilities.

#introduction
I’m finishing a PhD in #semiotics, focusing on #AI and #Society, especially the sociocultural construction of AI and #tech in general. I’m writing and talking about #robots in #scifi, #GPT-3 and its reception, the #anthropomorphism of technology, #automationbias and the #connotations and consequences of #technoscientific vocabularies.
My wider goal is to reveal the cultural repositories that novel things get meanings from, e.g. ficton, folklore, myths, animism.
