Le dépôt Git de Cemu, un émulateur de Wii U, a été compromis. Si vous l’avez mis à jour et lancer dans la semaine sous Linux, vous êtes bons pour réinstaller tout votre système de zéro, car celui-ci n’est plus sous votre contrôle. Sauf si c’est la version Flatpak que vous utilisez, ou si vous compilez vous-même le logiciel.

BetterVR is a flatscreen-to-VR conversion mod for The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that’s releasing 2 days after the release of this video. It’ll be a freely available and will have be open-source.

- Full hands and arms support. You can drip yourself out in all the fanciest clothes.

- Optional third-person mode.

5 years ago during Covid-19 I started this project because I really wanted to chop down trees in VR. And from there it just grew way bigger and way better then I thought was feasible…STATE OF THE MOD:
While I put a lot of effort into this mod, not everything works. Expect some jank that’ll be resolved over time.AMD graphic cards might not be supported (at launch at least). During testing we could not get it to work on an AMD system due to a driver bug.
PERFORMANCE:
Performance will not be as good as a native VR title due to CPU-heavy emulation. During testing, frame interpolation made it very playable on the systems listed below, that were also used for recording this trailer:
- i9-13900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB RAM, Pimax Crystal Super

I don't know why Cemu says to use the Windows version through Lutris instead of the Linux Flatpak (edit: I misread this: https://cemu.cfw.guide/). I got horrible performance in Xenoblade X on the Windows one and the Flatpak performs just fine mostly (aside from getting a softlock when saving for some reason), probably because the Windows one in Lutris is 2.0 (something) experimental and the Flatpak is 2.4. Can't find anything about that softlock online though.

Why are #Nintendo the way they are, really?
Hitting #YouTube creators like PointCrow and Russ from RetroGameCorps with (targeted) copyright strikes (threateningly), taking down #Yuzu (#Switch) and #Citra (#3DS), now taking down #Ryujinx (Switch) too. Definitely expecting them to take down other emulators too like #melonDS (#NDS), #Cemu (#WiiU), maybe even #RetroArch in the near future.
Who's hurting them to resort to these? Pretty sure they're doing better than ever, and that they're not making any money from old consoles like the 3DS to be this hellbent on taking down #emulation. If anything, focus on taking down illegal ROM sites maybe rather than (the definitely should be) legal emulators?

Aunque fue eclipsada por la Switch, la Wii U fue la primera videoconsola de Nintendo en reproducir videojuegos en alta resolución y además tuvo entre su catálogo algunas joyas indiscutibles.
En Linux puedes ejecutar sus juegos con Cemu. Recientemente han publicado la versión 2.1 con añadidos muy interesantes como el soporte Wayland y el empaquetado mediante Flatpak AppImage.

Cemu, l’émulateur Wii U passé open source il y a deux ans, avec un portage Linux à la clef, est maintenant distribué via flatpak (et AppImage). Un grand pas pour les heureux possesseurs d’un Steam Deck, les utilisateur de distributions immuables, de distributions confidentielles, et les autres 😉.
