While it’s nice experiencing the breathtaking views in 3D, so much of this game would be more enjoyable in 2D. I don’t know how a camera can have so much affinity for hiding behind things and avoiding pointing at the things killing me.

Next #3DPrinting #Zelda model 99% ready to go. Managed to get the scimitar done in No AMS style and figured out a way to do the finger gloves, which was one of the final things I wanted to try and do.
Assembly instructions gonna take a bit though.... plus I gotta give him some bananas.

Second, when it rains it pours. You just wanna get that treasure chest without fighting, trying to evade that annoying wizzrobe over there. Get in, get out. But surprise, some slimes spawn out of nowhere. And it’s nightfall so here’s some stal coming out of the ground. Bat swarm! Oh it started raining and now you can’t climb. Hey that wizzrobe noticed you. Just go ahead and invite Gannon to the party why don’t you. [rage rage rage]

I am reminded how frustrating this game can be.
First, a problem with many melee games is how much they put you into slow, uninterruptable, inadjustable move sequences, so if you suck like me you watch helplessly for that eternity of a second as your character strikes in the wrong direction, then get into a flailing button mashing overcorrection spiral. Likewise if you get knocked down (especially on a hill) watching enraged as he takes his gd time getting back up.

A very frequent experience I'm having replaying #BreathOfTheWild is that it's making me want to play #TearsOfTheKingdom.
That's no knock on BotW. It's a masterpiece. But it's hard to go backwards. BotW centers verticality into a lot of its challenges, like climbing towers, which TotK completely changes. I miss building machines, building my house, exploring the underground.
I'm enjoying this replay for sure, but I will be excited to graduate to the sequel again when I'm done.
