    AMD's #MI350X-series #GPU are based on #CDNA 4 architecture that introduces support for FP4 and FP6 precision formats alongside FP8 and FP16.
    Both SKUs will come with 288GB HBM3E memory that will offer up to 8 TB/s of bandwidth, but MI350X will offer maximum FP4/FP6 performance of 18.45 PFLOPS, whereas the MI355X is said to push the maximum FP4/FP6 performance to 20.1 PFLOPS.

  9. @nanopore ligation-free #cDNA sequencing run on a MinION R10.4.1 flow cell, using the intermediate PCR-cDNA Barcoding Kit (SQK-PCB111.24), and a 1-month-old diluted rapid adapter from a kit14 rapid barcoding kit (SQK-RBK114).

    #ItWorks but we have some quirky issues that still need to be sorted out. I need to work out if these issues are based on the sequencing, or the library.

  11. Cross post from birdsite: Confirmed by Nicholas Malaya of #AMD, #MI300, the new/upcoming datacentre #APU will present itself as a *single* GPU device in ROCm!

    Unlike MI250 which used 2 compute dies over a high speed interface, presenting as 2 devices, MI300 will display all of its #CDNA chiplets as a single device, similar to how the newest #RDNA3 consumer cards are based around a multi die approach (even if those are a single graphics die and multiple memory die)
