Noticed my new #Roku HD stick is getting fairly warm during use and also UI slows down.

I have not been getting any on screen warnings or red LED.

I plugged it into an HDMI splitter to get it away from the TV to attempt to get it away from heat.

Takes a bit longer before the UI slows.
I think the stick is heating enough to degrade the UI but not trigger overheat warnings.

I am trying putting a little (50mm) USB fan beside for active cooling,

Feels cooler to touch and UI is fine..so far.
