In my Current set up: all Options for iOS (this one is working as advertised) and application updates listed under Settings>General have been turned off, all of them. Still, I just caught an application updating. What’s going on here? Does anyone have a clue?

I just caught the end of the update when I noticed the folder in which I keep “shopping” apps turned into a count-down clock thingy for a few seconds.

PS. Is there a a touchpad device loaded with Linux on the market? Seriously had it with not being in control of my devices here and constently in the clutch of #Gatekeeping #Commercial #software and hardware #Grifters.

I use both the #Mastodon client (app) and #Trunks client on an iPad.

Example
