  1. @solnic hi Peter, welcome back!

I'm glad you had time to recharge and get some rest, and please don't hesitate to take more, we (the community) are OK, the #hamani & #dry_rb can always wait because you, the person, is always more important than any work project that happen to depend in them and your leadership and tremendous knowledge and passion.

    Thanks, and welcome back, again.

  2. @solnic that's one part I really screw on my recorded session at #rubyConf2022, somehow I manage to delete the slide where I mention the sponsoring part, then forget about that :(

  3. @solnic @codefolio I'm not sure if "state" is the right word here. You don't use that word at all in the docs: guides.hanamirb.org/v2.0/app/p

When I think of "state management" I think of sth like #redux in #javascript or #genserver in #elixir. They both have a way to update the state: reducers in redux and handle cast/call in GenServer.

Perhaps I'm not familiar with #hanami enough, but providers look to me like a wrapper API for dependencies or a low-level way to interact with Hanami's DI system.

Aye.. I've seen a few different flavors of result objects.

The distinction relevant to the approach you're describing is whether you need a `#created?` method on all the result classes. Otherwise, you have to do this:

    if result.is_a?(Created)

Which is arguably unnatural (relative to a case statement).

  10. @noelrap @joeldrapper @solnic @davetron5000 Hi Noel,

Yeap, I knew that after talking with other current and past committee members at #rubyConf2022

That's why (somehow?) I'm acknowledging my mistake when I mention "I convince myself". Sorry if the post was picturing another position or prone to have a different interpretation.

Maybe next year I'll be able to send that proposal which is currently on my head only.
