So, when my wife got her passport, the post office conveniently lost her naturalization certificate. When she got a new one issued, the new one mysteriously disappeared in the mail too, even though it was sent certified mail. It seems like there's some organized thing going on in the #Bronx where people are stealing naturalization certificates being sent through #USPS.

It also paused decisions on immigration applications filed by people from the 39 countries subject to #Trump’s #TravelBan, halting their ability to obtain #GreenCards, US citizenship & other benefits.

I object to the new rules USCIS has applied to green card applicants and I want you to fix this.
For 60 years, people could apply for green cards at a US consulate abroad, or while already in the US.
With the new USCIS policy, green card applicants already in the US will be required to leave while their cases are processed, even if they are in the country legally and regardless of whether they have spouses or children with citizenship.
This will affect families nationwide by forcing green card applicants to leave jobs, homes, and relationships for an unknown amount of time. USCIS is struggling with a backlog of visa and green card cases, and admits it does not know how currently pending green card cases will be affected.
This new policy will force survivors of trafficking, and abused and neglected children, to return to the dangerous countries they fled in order to process their applications for green cards.
Please draft legislation that at a minimum allows people already in process for their green card to stay in the US while their green card is processed. Then use every appearance in committee, on the floor, and with news and social media to highlight the ways in which the policies of the Ballroom Republicans running this current Federal Administration are harming families.
