  1. Why is it nearly impossible to find Genocidal Organ for the US market? It's not on any streaming service that I can find and the physical media is expensive. Straight up viewing it on YouTube through a rip seems to be the only way.

Book is archived online though. Haven't read that yet.

  11. back in 2024 when all of this really started picking up steam and it was impossible to ignore where it's heading, I deleted all my old works-in-progress. This was some 25 years' worth of code, "art" and short fiction, plus some fonts and music. A painful thing to do, but it felt like the only way to progress from "depression" to "acceptance" in the grief cycle. Accept that the world these things were made for is gone now, and that there is no place for someone like me in the new world.

I used to be so active. I made fonts, I drew, I coded (I coded *so much*), I played multiple instruments, I wrote, I designed electronics. I felt like, in spite of my fucked-up brain and my largely terrible past, I'd actually managed to find a bit of a niche for myself.

I miss being that person. But he was a creature of the old world. And the old world isn't coming back.

  12. Time passes. Even when it seems impossible. Even when each tick of the second hand aches like the pulse of blood behind a bruise. It passes unevenly, in strange lurches and dragging lulls, but pass it does. Even for me.

After a searing summer, John Harris and John Domokos return to the fray. First, a Labour conference dwarfed by forces trying to push the world into a frightening future. And then the byelection contest in Holborn and St Pancras, a perfect example of our troubled and polarised politics

  18. I think a lot of political attitudes are unrealistic because they internalize the idea that change is impossible, when in fact change is inevitable. Our choice isn't between stasis and change--it's between good change and bad change and what we are going to individually contribute to.

"But this change can't happen in my lifetime" is a statement people have been very wrong about again and again throughout history. It's not just individual policies that change, but political parties and even entire governments. Successful revolutions occur, and governments merge or splinter or collapse. All of these things can and will happen again. We can't know when or how, but discounting them completely is to not acknowledge the clear reality of a world whose only constant is change.

  19. It appeared that the swift wings of their desires would have shattered against the iron gates of the impossible.

  20. It was a gleaming six-sided geometry of polished metal and wrap-around glass, humming with an eerie, harmonic vibration that Harlan could feel in the enamel of his teeth. Sunlight flared off its rounded cockpit canopy as it banked with impossible, fluid grace over the caldera floor. Before Harlan could process the impossible shape, two dark raptors plummeted from the sun. Twin booms. Central nacelle. Twin rudders slicing the thin mountain air with surgical precision. "P-38 Lightnings!" Harlan shouted over the mounting crescendo. "Army fighters!" The fighters closed the distance in seconds, their olive-drab airframes dark against the pale turquoise sky. The lead Lightning tucked itself immediately onto the port quarter of the silver craft, matching its speed. "They're shadowing it!" he yelled. "The Army's not playing!" High above, the lead P-38 snapped its nose upward in a climbing roll, while the wingman broke wide to the starboard side. They were splitting high and wide in a classic textbook bracket maneuver. The lead Lightning inverted at the apex of its climb, nose plunging downward like a hawk diving on a hare.

  21. Matchbox the Movie (2026)
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What if Fast and the Furious meets Central Intelligence? Honestly, this was a lot of stupid fun. It had comedy, completely impossible action, and just a hint of nostalgia. It’s not winning any awards, but it’s a good popcorn movie.

  23. For five eternal seconds, the fighter pilot simply stared, memorizing the impossible geometry. "He's looking right at us," Dory said. "He doesn't like what he sees. And now he's breaking!" The lead P-38 pulled vertical, climbing into the sun with savage acceleration, while his wingman rolled hard to the right to establish a textbook high-low scissors. "They're not going to try to escort us down," Remy said, her knuckles whitening where she gripped the structural bracing of her seat. "They're setting up to attack." "Hold on!" Dory reached down to the throttles. "I can bump us to twenty thousand feet before they finish their turn." "No!" Remy snapped. "We talked about this. Let me keep her for a little bit more." Dory spayed her fingers in the air, trying to resist grabbing the stick. The noses of the fighters erupted in orange fire. Four heavy Browning .50-caliber machine guns and a 20mm Hispano cannon hammered in unison. Streamers of white smoke and blinding tracer rounds tore through the sky, stitching an envelope of supersonic lead across their flight path.
