Looking at these byelection results, it seems to me that the 'swing' is down to Tory-right-or-wrong voters staying at home. They're still there, folks, grinding their teeth over the Daily Mail at the breakfast table.
What stands out for me is the more than 10% Green vote in Somerton and Frome, with zero campaigning, and a tacit endorsement of tactical voting for the LibDems.

Among the many questions regarding the Mississauga-Lakeshore by-election is how many of the 33 independent candidates receive fewer than double digits in their vote count? Will any receive zero votes? Would that be a Canadian Federal election record? And will the eternal independent candidate John the engineer Turmell finally finish near the top of the list?
These are among the searching questions that fail to keep me up at night
