Trying to run a web browser on a Raspberry Pi Zero is painful, but not for the reason one might expect. Sure the CPU is slow, and it doesn't have a lot of RAM, but the real problem is the major browsers all dropped support for ARM targets without NEON.

Tried running an LLM on a dedicated Raspberry Pi 5 8Gb. It ran a bit slow, but acceptable when chatting with it from the command line. But when I tried using it as an assistant in #HomeAssistant it took over a minute to answer even though I only had 1 entity (weather forecast) exposed to it. Guess I'll need better hardware.

Unfortunately, it seems that FreeBSD support for Raspberry Pi 5 hardware (mainly the GPU) is currently lacking, so it seems I'm going to have to hold my nose and use Linux.
But since this thing won't be going on the internet, I can get away with using an older, pre-slop Linux kernel. I'm leaning towards 6.6.6 for aesthetic reasons.
