Now that shipping 3D printed things within the EU is absolutely unprofitable (and unaffordable) in the long term, I'm thinking about selling the 3D models for self-printing. This is also a risk for me, as I practically give up the source of all my work.
Therefore to all those who are interested in such a device:
Would you buy these 3D models?

Well, my last test prints with the material combination of #PETG and #BVOH (for the support interfaces) turned out very well, after proper drying of both filaments and printing with a single nozzle #BambuLab #X1C. It took quite a bit of fine-tuning in the settings, but now it seems to be working. I am now printing one of the two complicated models in its entirety, the monitor stand for the #NeXT #MegaPixel display.

Currently printing: The stand for my #NeXT #MegaPixel Display mini. This is the 823465239562956th test print. I hope that the "inline" support (between the ribs) can be easily removed.

@tuparev And today I wanted to publish my first set consisting of NeXTcube, NeXT MegaPixel Display, and NeXT SoundBox, all in 1:2 scale. Unfortunately, I'm still stuck in test printing for parts of the display. These ribs are a real challenge! 😟

From the perspective of presenting #3DModels, this is a real step forward. #Shapr3D has added a new feature to its software. I know many people are rolling their eyes right now because it's AI. But I don't care. After all, the results speak for themselves.

I don’t really buy stuff „just for fun“ that often, but when I came across the „Inside NeXT“ book by Luciano Dadda I was instantly hooked. This is a marvelous piece on the glorious products that came out of NeXT. Thanks Luciano for printing another batch 🙃 #nextbook #nextcomputer

I'm considering trying out a #RadxaX4 for my #NeXTcube mini for a native #OPENSTEP 4.2 installation. Since it's #x86 #Intel hardware (N100), that should be possible, right? 🤔

The Design for my #NeXT #ODD is mostly done and test prints are in the making. It is a smol NeXT style case for a slimline optical disc drive (cd-rw, dvd-rw).
BUT: I modified the original drive and made it narrower and, as you can see in the design, it only reads 3 inch discs.
Size of the case: W12.5cm, D21cm, H3.3cm

Slowly it takes shape: The NeXT drive that never exists. My special ODD (Optical Disc Drive) for 3 inch discs only. It reads and writes both CDs and DVDs. Just renderings for now. The real case is coming soon.

Imagine that: In just three years(!) Steve Jobs and his team developed and produced a completely new Computer with breakthrough technology and an entire Operating System, which was developed specifically for this hardware.

I disassembled a slim DVD writer, cut all unused parts to make it narrower. All this is for an external NeXT ODD which reads (and writes) only 3 inch disks (scaled replica, though). 😃

I think the same thing that just happened with #Commodore should also happen with #NeXT. A representative of "the community" should acquire all rights to NeXT and revive the company. 😃

I'm currently rebuilding my website. It's amazing what you can do with #Publii. It's still my favourite static website generator.
I started with one of my projects, the #NeXT #SoundBox mini. I tweaked the #CSS and custom #JavaScript. I think I can use that as a basis for the rest of the website. 😃
