  1. PHP runs somewhere between 75 and 80 percent of the web, a fact you may now process at your leisure while sitting in the wreckage. Like a Wilhelm Scream echoing through an empty server room: expected, unavoidable, deeply tiresome.

Patch PHP as soon as a fix becomes available — until then, assess exposure and apply whatever mitigations exist.

Reward: Error 9.2: Reward module unreachable. Please try again after patching. (2/3)

  10. Good #Sunday morning, Mastodonians. Today we'll be watching our granddaughter while her mom teaches Pilates and her husband helps his brother move, so I feel like I'm hitting the ground running. But after doing what I need to do, I can sit down and get myself centered so I'll be ready for the adventures. I hope it's a good day for you all. Oh, and it's raining here, so inside activities will be the order of the day.

First game was Sam and Frodo, won this one by the skin of my teeth by topdecking [[Bloodthirsty Conqueror]] while I had [[Sanguine Bond]] out. It's a cheap loop, but the game was close enough I don't mind ^^

Second game was Korvold again, managed to burn the table down with a Sabotender, that felt good :D

Third was Felothar the Steadfast, juuuuust barely lost to the unmodified Sai thopter precon. That [[Myr Battlesphere]] gets nasty.

Aaand finally Gisa won another game! Woo! I did feel like a bit of an ass because I went to attack after spending all my mana and forgot my opponent had [[Propaganda]] up >_> Still managed to ping 'em to death, tho, so 👍️

  13. "Conservative" versus "woke" economic reasoning, in a nutshell: "...we could say that, while the left would have to propose an alternative game to the one that has been exhausted, the far right simply has to assume that, when competition becomes more and more a matter of life and death, getting rid of other competitors becomes a valid option. In short: Don’t hate the player, hate the game versus Don’t hate the game, hate the other players."

  14. What (healthy, vegetarian) snacks do toddlers love? Suggestions, please!

Our kid just turned one year old, and we need quick food to placate her while preparing a real meal, and snacks while traveling to the next meal.

She does not love cheerios. Banana spears and apple slices are sometimes popular, and sometimes thrown some distance. Bread (whole grain) has been the biggest hit, sometimes with almond butter but often she'll chew on it indefinitely even when plain.

  17. So, I should probably do a proof of life post, as i appreciate I have been away for a while, having taken annual leave from work and been busy with a bunch of things, more on some of that later.

But do you know who doesn't need a proof of life? Polterguy! Rebellious teenage turned ghost and haunting extraordinaire!

Haunting starring Polterguy is proof that the #SegaGenesis was the edgy, hardcore console of the 4th Gaming generation.

Polterguy possesses household items to scare the Sardini family, a family of the CEO who produced a defective skateboard that led to Polterguy's untimely death. Some of the illusions that Polterguy conjures are incredibly gruesome, though it came out before the ERSB was a thing, and somehow seemed to have skirted past the discourse of violent video games (in my limited research)

Mixed in with the violent imagery are quirky, silly, and downright strange occurences, including a Dinosaur in the sauna and... Wait... Who's that in the toilet?

  18. COTA Grand Prix

I have to start with my usual complaint: why are there three races in the USA? I know the answer is money, but it still annoys me that a country with little support for F1 gets 3 races while others with better circuits and bigger fan bases have to share calendar spots or don't get one at all. It also bugs me that this venue is Circuit of the Americas - there are older and better circuits in the Americas, but never let it be said that the USA lacks…

  20. There, just sent some feedback to Apple regarding the removal of the auto-punctuation feature for dictation that was removed in iOS 27. The smart punctuation feature that I mentioned a while back is not the right setting. Dictation, which used to be a bit messy at times, is now ridiculously messy, and just inserts punctuation whereever it feels like, completely ignoring the fact that where it inserts stuff completely breaks pretty much every grammatical rule known to humans. #FixYourShit #iOS27
