In a long post with lots of images Eduardo Kraus has highlighted the gap between typical student use of #Moodle in mobile browsers and how admins and teachers typically use a desktop browser. He summarises with

"Perhaps the best way to improve Moodle's mobile experience is to start using Moodle on our phones the way our students do, because some problems only become obvious when we're the ones who have to deal with them."

I have released a new version of my #Moodle #AItext question type which evaluates students free text responses with an external LLM.

This version fixes a problem with Moodle 4.5, fixes for when used with the #mobile app and other small updates.

It is available from the Moodle Marketplace here

https://marketplace.moodle.com/plugins/3377

Here is the changelog.md from Github

Have you seen #Mozilla’s new advert ‘Come back to #Firefox’? I think it’s very good, even though I must admit, I don’t know half of the #memes it features. 🫣

Autumn in the woods comes with a fear I feel every year: that the colour will peak and fall in the gap between one visit and the next, and that I will miss it for another whole year. There is a great deal of anticipation in the season. There is a fair amount of anxiety in it too.

99 Prozent! 🥳 So hoch war der Anteil von #Photovoltaik und #Windenergie an der Stromlast am Samstag. Auch dank Tief „Manja“! 💨

Das zeigt: #ErneuerbareEnergien können liefern! Was es jetzt braucht? Mehr Ausbau, Speicher, Flexibilität und politischen Willen. Packen wir’s an! 💪 #Energiewende

Our little #cohousing group, The Reef, is featured by Flemish newspaper De Standaard among the "Belgian organisations who refuse to use Big Tech's #AI". Which is true, but only part of the story, and not the funny part.

The article (paywalled): https://www.standaard.be/economie/chatgpt-deze-bedrijven-werken-liever-met-europese-ai-loskomen-van-amerikaanse-systemen-vergt-veel-moed/163609708.html

The same story told by us: https://edgeryders.eu/t/introducing-dikkenek-homegrown-ai-from-brussels/23001?u=alberto

If you are not from Belgium, I recommend watching the video excerpts. You will learn a lot about a little-publicized side of Brussels culture.
