#Fungi of the genus #Hygrocybe (#Agaricales, #Basidiomycota) most likely live in #symbiosis with the #roots of higher plants or with mosses. D.-Y. Xu et al. (2026) have described two #newspecies from #China, specifically from the provinces of Anhui and Jiangxi, based on morphological and genetic evidence: Hygrocybe #zhibaiensis and H. #longchuanensis.
