There's a fracture in my mind. Between who I am and who I was, between who I am and who I think I am, between who I think I am and who I want to be. #Grauniad actually do a reasonable job here of reporting on the #cocaine problem in #Britain - not concentrating on mere possession or low level use (which like any other #drugs isn't that much of an issue in itself) but genuine #crimes that harm others as well as the user such as #violence (especially #DomesticViolence ), #'stalking and dangerous #driving under the influence (or due to sleep deprivation after chronic use).
And this is without data from Metpol, who weren't able to provide it (probably because they are overwhelmed with dealing with such incidents)

Interestingly #GMP are also claiming that "vulnerable people including children/teens" are being *paid* to do this (there have been as many as 40 such incidents across the region)

Genuinely unsure if all the #MentalHealth care in the world could have saved Paul Flack - literally everything in his life fell apart one after the other.
His sister (the TV presenter Caroline Flack) committed suicide after losing her career following a criminal charge and subsequent publicity, his partner got cancer, he had health problems of this own, his dad got ill and passed away, and his own dream career just evaporated due to the pandemic downturn (as well as a decline in demand as physical media gave way to digital with less demand for elaborate graphic design)
I looked up some of his work and he was clearly very talented...

Aujourd'hui, c'est la reprise de la saison de coupe du monde de short-track ! Je n'ai rien cuit au four, je me fais un bouillon au miso pour ce midi, j'ai pas très faim. À midi, par contre, je me suis fait des légumes d'automne rôtis : des cubes de carottes, de potimarron, de betteraves et d'oignon, des cubes de tofu par-dessus, un petit reste de pois chiches, et hop hop hop au four avec du cumin, du sel, du poivre et de l'huile d'olive. Je ne peux que conseiller ces petits plats rapides […] -
watched „La grazia”, a movie by the #Italian director Paolo Sorrentino and loved it
(i've loved „La grande bellezza”, same director)
given the amount of disappointment and frustration i feel towards politicians (in my home, #Romania, where i know their situation all too well), a movie that invites empathy and attentiveness towards people in an imaginary ruling class, in an imaginary #Italy, was difficult to get into
but Sorrentino does make it easier, with the constant sharp wit and humor
