Yesterday was my first visit to the office since #March2020! It was #Xmas dinner week so I had the #vegan option, natch, which was a lovely, moist #NutRoast with all the trimmings. Out of shot is the vegan #MincePie. All free, too. Later we went out for our Xmas party to #Prezzo where I had their delicious #Italian #Hummus and fake #Pepperoni and #Chickn #Pizza. No photos of those but they were both awesome, too!

My mate who is doing the Transcontinental 2023 is currently at the foot of the #Stelvio Pass, from the Bormio side. He reached #Control Point 1 (CP1), near #Livigno, last night with just over an hour to spare. He's currently done @ 1200km having ridden from #Belgium, through Eastern #France, up the #Grimsel Pass in #Switzerland and now heading through Northern #Italy then onto #Slovenia. The leaders are already in southern #Bosnia! At least, after the Stelvio, Phil will have an "easier" couple of days following rivers and valleys into Slovenia.

He reached #Control Point 1 (CP1), near #Livigno, last night with just over an hour to spare. Unfortunately, my #DukinfieldCC clubmate, Phil Cunninhgam, has today decided to scratch from the #Transcontinental. He started a route, overnight, after the #Stelvio, that took him towards the #Dolomites but this morning still had @ 200km to do by midnight, tonight, in order to reach Check Point 2 (#CP2) within the time limit. He's gutted, obviously, so we've all advised him to fill up on pizzas and beers (lots of), get loads of kip, be a tourist OFF the bike for a few days then get the train(s) home and surprise Mrs Cunningham early!
Attached are his final stats.
Just for reference, the leader, #ChristophStrasser, has just entered #NorthMacedonia, has done @ 2900km at an average of 494km PER DAY! He'll probably finish tomorrow!Chapeau, Phil, you are AWESOME!!!

A Dukinfield CC clubmate (Phil Cunningham, #94) is currently 300km into this year's #Transcontinental race from Belgium to Greece. It's a beast of a route and I don't envy him, or any other rider, with the current conditions on mainland Europe.

Always one to break from tradition, I went for Jeon (Korean pancakes) for #PancakeTuesday, with a simple @yondu.uk , lemon juice, sesame oil and seeds dip. This made two jeon packed with chillis, peas, peppers, carrot, shallots and more Yondu. Stuff your sweet guff, these rock!

I do flick between this version of #SpectralMornings and the #SteveHackett instrumental, but the voice of #DavidLondgon on this #live version is amazing, as always.
