Yesterday, I realised that I know five people who have ridden in the Transcontinental Race. That was more than I expected.
How many of these special/crazy people do you know? Let's only include those in real life (not on social media) and who would also say they know you. Including DNF riders but not DNS.

Edit: It turns out that I know five people who have ridden the TCR.

Three photos from Flam on Parcour 1b. It's a bit of climb (unless you take the train up) and goats in the road may hold riders up. #tcr #tcr12 #tcr2026 #biketooter

Cap 312 is making some interesting route choices... They seem to still be riding and are still officially in the race as far as I can tell, but they're going north instead of south.

Honestly, as much as I like dotwatching the front of the pack for TCR, I'm also really looking forward to checking out the back.
Last year, there was someone who consistently rode 100-150 km each day. That's not very much by TCR standards, but still, getting up each day and cranking out what is (to me) a solid distance is amazing. Watching people like that inspires me as much as watching the absolute best race for the podium.
