Yeah..NI is not what you see portrayed on the news, it is certainly not what certain politicians would have you believe. We are not all out dated & out of touch politicians, begging our London masters for scraps of the table.
The majority of us are happy to live and let live, enjoy the craic and get on with things. We certainly don't give a toss about the #Protocol & #WindsorFramework - it doesn't keep us up at night.

Then I can't see the #DUP ever attracting any new voters especially the younger ones. They aren't capable of changing to make them more attractive. Doug may be trying to change the #UUP but the traditionalists in his party won't accept they need to change either.
So it NI will continue to move away from the Unionist parties towards SF/Alliance which you can argue - are looking good when compared to the #Unionist parties.
Something needs to change in #NI

The money, that established it, kept it running & finally bought it, is what decides over people's status & permissibility of their speech on it, if its owner likes it or has his algorithms dislike & ban it.
It's an absolutist corporate medium like others such as Facebook, reddit & their ilk.
Accept being a subject of corporate media intoxicating you to believe you're the most important person in the world with at least half of the world following you, or simply pay to suggest half the world's following you, or

He could well be but I think she is there because he thought he needed her to get over the line for the leadership.
Then when the #WindsorFramework happened, he realised that they don't have the numbers or power to harm him.
I think she will stay there as a lighting rod for everyone until it is time, that sacking her becomes politically advantageous.

I would agree if the #ERG had of had a bigger showing at the #WindsorFramework vote. They aren't the force that they once were.
#Braverman will stay there until it is advantageous for #Sunak to get rid of her....closer to the election

Northern Ireland is changing quicker than most people thought it would. Also, the #Unionists can't quite come to terms with how much they are out of step with society here.
If anyone argues with that, I will direct you to last week #NI election - Sinn Fein are the largest party at the Assembly & local government. AND - they have the largest numbers of cllrs on Belfast City Council, once dominated by Unionism.

It is when they ran 20 less candidates than 2019. So it their performance doesn't look as bad. They are calling in vote management!
Alliance was the only other party to actually gain seats and increase their vote share - 3% increase. They are the 3rd largest party in #NI replacing #uup
Nationalism got their vote out but Unionism didn't. Those who did vote sent a message to Jeff to get back to work.

The #humanhaystack isn't coming back. They bring him back, the parliamentary standards committee find him guilty and he is suspended from parliament as a #PrimeMinister
It would destroy the party - which has to be protected at all costs.

We have done the good things that Northern Ireland has to offer as well. It's out there you just have to know where to look.
For example on Easter Tuesday, we were at the #UlsterMuseum to see Hannah Starkey photographic exhibition Principled & Revolutionary: Northern Ireland’s Peace Women. It would be nice to see the more positive side of NI on show more often.
