Later this year the UK will introduce 'not for EU' labelling as part of the #WindsorFramework deal on #NorthernIreland.
The labels have already started to appear in some shops for some products, and the Food & Drink industry fears that such labelling will deter both customers & #investment in the UK's food/drink sector.
Recent headlines suggested customers took the view that this indicated sub-standard goods, whatever the actual quality....
Another #BrexitReality that was 'unpredicted'...

He didn't take his MLA seat, saying he had to stay in Westminster to stop the #Protocol/Protocol version 2.0 known as the #WindsorFramework.

How has the #windsorframework played out... well for the EU it seems to have done the job; the FT quotes an EU diplomat as saying:
'The Windsor framework has put a floor on the relationship. It frees the EU to deal with other issues elsewhere'.
In other words, having largely transforming most #Brexit related issues into problems for domestic politics (i.e. Northern Ireland), the EU welcome the ability to focus elsewhere.
'Rid us of this turbulent priest', indeed!

Yeah..NI is not what you see portrayed on the news, it is certainly not what certain politicians would have you believe. We are not all out dated & out of touch politicians, begging our London masters for scraps of the table.
The majority of us are happy to live and let live, enjoy the craic and get on with things. We certainly don't give a toss about the #Protocol & #WindsorFramework - it doesn't keep us up at night.

Majority now in favour of #WindsorFramework, new report reveals - Belfast Live
The report from researchers at Queen’s University #Belfast analysed poll data and found a majority (61%) currently see the protocol, with the Windsor Framework, as an appropriate means for managing the effects of #Brexit on #NorthernIreland and 56% as overall “a good thing for Northern Ireland”.

In the event of an independent 🏴(eg Ireland) and trade between 🏴 (Northern Ireland, sure why not! they are becoming more like us)
Would any trading arrangements not be set out as in the #WindsorFramework? They could copy that example for the two nations? Plus it would apply to trade between Northern Ireland & Scotland as it does between Ireland & NI?
The land border between Sco & Eng isn't as controversial as the British border in Ireland is.

Sunak knows what is in those messages. He knows that #Johnson blames him for losing the Premiership. He couldn't get him over the #WindsorFramework, so #Johnson is going to use this as the vehicle as an attempt to bring #Sunak down.
Johnson knows he has too much scandal around him for comeback. He wouldn't care bringing about an early #GeneralElectionnow if he ends #Sunak's government.
For once I am supporting #Johnson. If he does this and we have #GeneralElectionnow then okay!

The EU has adopted rules to simplify the movement of goods from Great Britain 🇬🇧 to Northern Ireland, subject to safeguards to protect the EU single market.

Johnson & Trump should be in jail for what they have done.
Trump the Republicans want him back. Johnson on the other hand, a small rump want him back. The rebellion he led against the #WindsorFramework proved that the majority of the #Tories never want to see him led their party again.
Just because his supporters shout the loudest doesn't mean he has huge support. - Mogg & Dorries are just pitiful.

He could well be but I think she is there because he thought he needed her to get over the line for the leadership.
Then when the #WindsorFramework happened, he realised that they don't have the numbers or power to harm him.
I think she will stay there as a lighting rod for everyone until it is time, that sacking her becomes politically advantageous.

I would agree if the #ERG had of had a bigger showing at the #WindsorFramework vote. They aren't the force that they once were.

The #Tories will never offer the #DUP the opportunity to control power after what they did on #May. The #WindsorFramework vote seen to that. The #DUP have no serious support amongst the Tory party. The #DUP humiliated her & could be argued they started the problems they face by backing #Boris.
As for #FG it is hypocritical that they tell all the parties in the #North that they must work together. However use Sinn Féin as a bogeyman in the South.
