Mon fidèle #midtail #Yuba aura bientot 6 ans et 13000 kms après un changement de moteur à 11000.
Je me souviens du premier jour. J'étais trop habillé, avec un sac à dos et j'étais arrivé trempé mais tellement heureux.
Je me souviens du lendemain et des courbatures, mais j'ai continué car j'étais heureux de me sentir libre dans Paris qui a tendance à m'étouffer
Je me sentais vivant, incroyable vivant.
Et 9 ans plus tard c'est toujours cette sensation incroyable que j'ai lorsque je prends mon vélo, qu'il soit elec ou musculaire.
Je me sens bien, musculairement disponible à chaque instant.
J'avais débuté à la naissance de mon fils comme un moment de sport dans les journées chargées.
C'est devenu mon principal mode de déplacement et le véhicule préféré de mon fils.

J'ai aussi vu le Yuba Kombi E5 qui me plait bien. En plus en ce moment y a une promo chez Cyclable. Le seul truc qui me fait un peu peur, c'est le couple du moteur... Il n'y a pas de gachette pour le démarrage, du coup j'ai un peu peur de galérer au démarrage en côte avec un adulte à l'arrière. Y a le E6 avec un meilleur moteur, mais du coup c'est 500€ en plus.

I started out the adventure thinking, "rather than park next to the street risking theft and having to deal with getting the cart on the elevator, why not bike right into the parking garage (descending from 1st FL to basement) and park next to the actual store entrance?" This is making me realize that I should get a cheap front rack for the #Kombi. Not only can I not justify $200 for #Yuba's Bread Basket front rack (that's 20% of the cost of the bike itself!), but I'm worried that it would be too wide for its current storage spot, it would get stolen due to the quick release, and the additional front weight would be awkward when I put the bike vertically to work on it.

Das #Schutzblech ist übrigens einer meiner Hauptkritikpunkte am Yuba Kombi. Kalifornischer Hersteller, kennt deutsches Matschwetter natürlich nicht so.Das Kombi hat hinten gar kein Schutzblech, sondern lediglich so eine auf den Kopf gestellte u-förmig gebogene Kunststoffplatte als Speichenschutz. Das heißt, dass bei Matsch das Zeug hinten und vorn alles vollspritzt.
Ich habe für so breite 24''-Reifen bislang nichts gefunden (2,5'' bzw. so 61 mm breit).

I don't think I've posted a full pic yet of my #Yuba #Kombi with #Bafang #BBS02 750W mid-drive motor installed. It's got a 48V 12Ah battery from #UnitPowerPack installed (form factor: #Hailong G56). So far I've ridden 45mi and the battery is at roughly 50%, so I'm expecting a comfortable range of 65-70mi per charge. #BikeTooter #ebike

Unanticipated issue with have *3* #CargoBikes - trying to figure out which one would work best for hauling plywood. I'd prefer to go with the #Yuba #Kombi, but the runner boards are only 22" long; I'd either have to stack the wood up 8' tall (top-heavy), and still have 2' hanging off the back, or stack it up 4' tall and have 6' hanging off the back.
It would fit in the #Cetma #Margo, but sideways so it'd be 8' wide. And I'd probably want to take the box off, which is always a pain.
