  1. The Return of Tech Thursdays

Technology is changing at a rapid pace, and while I don't claim to have all the answers, one of my passions is making technology a bit easier for the layperson to understand. When I try to talk about some of these changes on social media, I'm also hearing a lot of authors say something to the effect of, "I don't w

  2. Ah yes, yet another writing app claiming to be the messiah of #productivity 🤡. Because clearly what we all need is another tool to procrastinate with while pretending to work 📱✍️. Spoiler alert: it won't write the next great novel for you, but it might help you draft a killer grocery list! 🛒📄

  3. Shout out to #Mela: a markdown-based recipe app with amazing export ability and no subscription. Just pay once.

Mela goes into my consolation project. God, I love apps like this.

  8. Ahh I also still have version 1 of #Drafts on my phone!

This is perhaps one of the best designed writing app I've ever used. I was so mesmerized by it when it launched. It's so simple and intuitive.

The new version is pretty good too. And I think the app has maintained its core mission over the years. Kudos to #Drafts. One of my all time fav #WritingApps

  10. @EpiphanicSynchronicity @tommi Thank you for asking why I choose #Ulysses over #Obsidian or #Logseq for longform writing! I couldn't get the answer into 500 characters, so I wrote a little blog post about it. (I appreciate the inspiration!)

Please let me know what you think.

  11. So many apps, so difficult to chose…

Following the recommendation of @thesiswhisperer, I was going to investigate the Readwise/Reader combo, and instead came across a combo called Author/Reader/Liquid (augmentedtext.info/). Has anyone tried it? It looks fantastic, and I love that it’s a purchase and not a subscription.

FWIW, I have Scrivener but never really warmed to it. One drag with Author/Reader, however, is the lack of iPad versions…
