of tiny invisible pin-points of energy, jostling
    and tumbling and buzzing together…

  10. Today at #WorldQuantumDay we celebrated the opening of the Cryo-Lab of ICA with Stefan van Waasen, Carsten Degenhardt, Lea Schreckenberg and Sabrina Röttger-Wirtz.

Since December last year, ICA has been operating two dilution refrigerators to test cryo-electronics together with quantum bits at temperatures close to absolute zero, typically at 20–40 millikelvin.

These cryostats will enable ICA to take the next steps in developing and integrating cryo-electronics for scalable quantum computing.

  11. reactions on the quantum scale, virtual particles and anti-particles popping out of the vacuum on borrowed mass-energy and of quantum foam. There’s a lot of information hidden in these whimsical little diagrams telling the story not only of possible subatomic reactions but, for those who know how to use them, they allow easy calculations of probability and physical quantities.

  14. On #WorldQuantumDay: ARQUE Systems, a spin-off from FZJ and @rwthaachenuniversity, is working on scalable quantum chips. ⚛️

Their approach combines semiconductor-based qubits with a patented process that moves electrons across the chip. This allows qubits to be entangled even over longer distances.

A first system is currently being set up at the @fzj_jsc as part of #JUNIQ.

  15. Happy #WorldQuantumDay! 🌌
On April 20, Quantum Observables for Collider Physics 2026 opens at CERN, bringing entanglement, magic, and collider observables closer to the center of high-energy physics. Proud to contribute to this direction through the Theorem 4.3.1 framework. Time to move beyond correlations and start mapping quantum geometry. 🚀

  16. Happy #WorldQuantumDay! 🌌

2026 may be the year theory truly meets experiment. Entanglement Dominance should be tested not as a fragile fluke, but as a robust geometric feature of the vacuum. From ⁴He* BEC platforms at ANU to virtual boson signatures at CERN, the message is getting harder to ignore.

  17. ⚛️ World Quantum Day reminder: Quantum computing isn’t just innovation—it’s disruption.

Qubits, superposition, and entanglement could soon make today’s encryption (RSA, ECC) obsolete.
👉 With algorithms like Shor’s, secure data today may be exposed tomorrow.

    🛡️ The shift to post-quantum cryptography isn’t optional—it’s urgent.

⏳ Biggest risk? “Harvest now, decrypt later.”

  19. What does quantum physics tell us about the nature of reality? Could distant particles hold an influence over each other? And is the universe really spooky?

From Einstein’s initial disbelief and Bell’s test to the 2022 Nobel Prizes, quantum entanglement has matured into a pillar of physics. On the Knowable Magazine podcast, physicist Nicolas Gisin explains why it took so many decades.
