#Wireframing seems to be a bit of a lost art these days with #Designs often seeming in a rush to reach a higher fidelity state through tools like Figma or frameworks like the GovUK #Prototype kit (https://prototype-kit.service.gov.uk).
But the benefits of working in a lower fidelity to bring forward design ideas for discussion or to allow for earlier testing can be invaluable to a Team.

Hey, Sketch 'stole' my idea of wireframing using text commands (2017), also in my other articles the things about auto-creating flow-charts, export directly to code, etc:
https://medium.com/proof-of-concept/creating-a-true-ux-tool-2-speed-9e68d0b2740
I once presented that to roughly 30 ux-designers, and I got nothing but blank stares when I showed text commands.
My point was that writing commands was one interface, but the important part was UX source code you could take with you.

Playing a bit with the price of TinyUX to see how that influences sales, just lowered it to $3.50

New TinyUX update, now you can import components from my online library.
More about TinyUX: https://tinyux.app
The online page:
https://www.tinyux.app/ux-content-library/I'll be adding more items to the library later :).
-
Recent TinyUX update made some UI improvements regarding selections.
Next I'm planning to add 'component import'. You can write a .csv like notation to create a component. Like:
```
button, button, button/arrow_right
```An export feature will soon follow, so you can backup and share components and screens.

Putting out v1.1.0 of TinyUX, with a small embedded neural network that enables you to search for icons by drawing with your finger.
Also, the free version now has a larger canvas.
Should be live later today.

The advantage of having a wireframing app on your phone, is that you can brainstorm your next feature while you are in bed not really wanting to start the day.
Here I'm working on the select feature for TinyUX so it will be easier to move things around.
Option B seems more elegant, but a bit more work to implement.

In TinyUX you create wireframes based on a grid. It's a bit like paint with large pixels. You tap your buttons, icons, etc. And it merges the buttons/etc to create larger shapes.
Now making the improvement so text will be cut if it wouldn't fit the button.

@Fo @actuallyautistic @adhd I’m #ADHD and enjoy being a #UserExperience (#UX) Designer.
We get to learn about people’s needs, understand the problems they’re having and explore solutions to address them.
On any given day I might be exploring the steps a person might need to take to achieve their goal or sticking up and organising post-it notes on a whiteboard in an ideas workshop. I might be sketching out a low fidelity designs for screens or webpages (wireframing) or linking screens together to create an interactive prototype. There are any number of other activities.
I only dabble in User Interface (UI) design as there are people much better at making beautiful apps and websites than me. I prefer to stick to the more architectural and problem solving side of the work.
The best thing? You never know quite what the next problem’s going to be or how people will respond when you give them prototypes of your solutions to test. Always surprises!
Worth a look and pretty straightforward to start exploring for yourself. Not convinced about the usefulness of so-called UX boot camps but that’s just me.
Starting out? Search for #UX, #DesignThinking, #StoryMapping and #Wireframing for starters 😇

Used Google Translate to translate TinyUX website to French, Spanish and Chinese.
The app itself doesn't have text in it so can be used in any country. Would it make sense to translate the site to literally every language?

Next TinyUX mobile app update (1.0.22) allows for 'split surfaces'.
Or in other words, you can have buttons and large rectangles next to each other without auto-merging to form one large button/rectangle.
Seems obvious, but was a bit of a ux puzzle.

Working on swipe up/down to show multiple rows of icon brushes.
Never did much with gestures and animation before in #ReactNative, but after spending most of yesterday on something I didn't really like, now I think I know how to make it work smooth. I hope.
Probably will add more gesture related features later.
About TinyUX: https://tinyux.app
-
Next for TinyUX, looking into how to get 'swipe up' working so you can see more icons at once to select from.
-
Made another update to TinyUX,
- Improved cop & paste
- added cut & paste
- added copy (to edit) textIt's live on free trial version, later today also on full paid version (~$5 purchase).
-
Working on cut & paste for TinyUX.
(Bit slow, because in developer mode).
-
Thinking about making pre-made components based on brushes (icon to draw).
So you'd long tap any icon in submenu and extra bar shows up with components.
For example with the checkbox, you get the component where a text is next to the checkbox.

TinyUX 1.0.17 is live.
Includes text export for notes and wireframes.

Yay, made hackernews frontpage with TinyUX.
It doubled my nr of users who bought the app from 4 to 8. So if it just keeps doubling each day..
-
Today I'll continu to work on the notes feature.
1st version, so bare minimum simple implerentation.
If you're on the notes button, the board highlights icons with notes with an orange border. Tap read & edit.

Testing TinyUX by wireframing based on screenshot of Hive Social.
Have idea for auto-text-alignment. Everything is in cells, so no explicit textblock, only starting point. But available area can be infered. If icon is right next to it, text could right-align.
Alternative is to have a button for text alignment. But hope to be able to keep nr of buttons low.
Downside to both is you don't know cell responsible, for erasing, etc. Still thinking..

Now working on 'cards' in TinyUX, not sure if this makes things too complicated.
So 2 brushes with same background color, but one will result in thin border. This allows you to separate a top menu with same color as page.
I'll also work on other color related stuff.
I would like more users, so now focus on features that help create better looking wireframes. Since that first impression needs to be great. Pushing back features like import/export source files.
