My #audio-oriented brain popped up another #mashup suggestion the other day.

Murray Head singing "One Night in Bangkok" (from Chess) should match up well with Kick Axe's "Heavy Metal Shuffle", though a slight tempo adjustment would be needed.

When I was a kid, I never had any trouble remembering which way an L or a J was supposed to go, but for some reason, I had trouble remembering which way to draw an S (right to left, left to right).

I didn't seem to have any similar problem with Z either.

I've been a pretty avid gamer, playing fps and vehicle combat sim games regularly. I'm not a partisan of violence under any circumstances, but the games are enjoyable to me. And a good way to relieve stress without causing harm other than to a few electrons.

So when my partner needs help taking our son out of his baby seat at the table and says "I need help to take him out", my brain is consistently doing a double take on what she's asking me to do.

Not just once or twice, this has been going on for months now. It's starting to get frustrating, because on the one hand I've already made a joke about it once, but it's worn off quickly.

Any other weird parenting quirks people have learned to just put up with?
