We have some lovely new #hostas this year that I got from a few new places...notably Rewela Hostas in Yorkshire and Bali Hai Nurseries in Northern Ireland.

This one is called Green Lava.

You get these lime green wiggly edged leaves with red stems to boot.

Leaves turn green by midsummer.

The plant habit is louche, wayward and flowing.

What's not to like.

The mists are rolling over the tops of our valley and the rain is gently falling.

Our #hostas are now starting to unfurl and shine.

This beautiful one is called #Celtic Dancer and is a delightful vision of ruffled and rippled green leaves.

We have been collecting hostas for over 20 years and I always remember chatting with a lovely lady many years ago who said that the #green hostas held the most beauty, although the coloured and #variegated ones had their virtues too.
