🚀 Fastest spinner in space—meet asteroid 2025 MN45. During commissioning, the Vera Rubin Observatory spotted this ~710-meter-wide rock completing a full rotation in under 2 minutes. That’s a record for any asteroid over 500 meters and proves it’s solid rock, not a loose rubble pile. Bonus: this is Rubin’s first peer-reviewed science result—and it’s just getting started.
