This week sees the launch of Enablers and Inhibitors of Research Integrity, a new addition to the evidence base for research integrity. The study was carried out by UKRIO in partnership with the UK Reproducibility Network and the Science Policy Research Unit of the University of Sussex and was commissioned by the UK Committee on Research Integrity.

It is ironic that people became so addicted to particular journals in a time when hardly anyone looks at paper journals, nor uses them to find what they need.
Legacy publishers have never been more irrelevant but they continue to scam us.
The answer lies in the hands of scientists but we are too vain to use it.

Just updated yesterday's blogpost on lack of consequences for misconduct to include further proposal by Jennifer Byrne, plus a bit of a bibliography and some quotes, and to liberate a couple of comments from moderation.
Feel free to add comments. The more evidence we can assemble that lack of consequences for #misconduct is normative, and a big problem, the better.
