My old #ttrrpg campaign wiki engine (WikkaWiki) finally crumbled under an OS/PHP update. I think I won't be trying to revive it, as the engine has been abandoned for at least 5 years.
So I'm going to need a new wiki. It's going to be self-hosted, run with apache + mysql, and has to be easy to use and customize. It will host wikis for 2-3 active campaigns, plus currently about 10 archived campaigns.

I have yet to see even one decent contextualised review/analysis of any of the "new" #ttrrpg mentioned before. Is it about special interests or/and do these influencer only know #DND? #DeathWTF will dutifully ride the #OSR | #Shadowdark wave... Very repulsive development! #Daggerheart #DrawSteel

just had an older Mac app (last updated I think in 2022) crash totally on my MacBook losing a day's work (I thought it had saved my work - but eh nope the app had not). Annoying. Was for fun not paying work so just irritating and I can probably replicate it faster than it took for me to build it initially (its an app for building characters in Pathfinder 1e) but still frustrating when crashes happen that lose work
also a reminder that annoyingly ttrpg devs rarely build good Mac apps

I really want someone to do a setting like the D&D 4e setting as presented in the two Preview books/magazines.
I know why the designers didn't write it up as a traditional setting in the actual line, and the little droplets of info were exciting to uncover.
But not all of that made it in, particularly how they actually gave humans a cultural niche not based on (often racist) expy cultures.

Doing the Innsmouth map as a pointcrawl would be acceptable and comparatively easy, but I've got big worldbuilding energy right now. ;)

Anyone have advice or recommendations for mapping tutorials/tools for modern urban areas?
I'd like to rough out a map for #TheInnsmouthLook, which takes place in the mid-90s.
I found a neat map of the downtown area at the time of "The Shadow Over Innsmouth," based on Lovecraft's original sketch. But I'd like to do more of the town, suburbs, and environs.

Time for a short #introduction
I am Antony and I am from #newmexico. I am an #infosec #cybersecurity professional but I will rarely post about it.
I enjoy a good #ttrrpg including #DnD or #bitd based from to time. Also some video games. I seem to pick up a new hobby every few years, this year it was #making #guitarpedal kits.
