This looks like it is going to be an amazing short film. It uses papercraft puppets for the animation. The title is "The Knight and the Snail" and takes its inspiration from Medieval illuminated manuscripts that sometimes depicted knights fighting snails in their margins. Check it out.
I think people who are into OSR and NSR role playing games might get a kick out of it as well. Heck, the title reminds me of my favorite #Knave2e spell, Snail Knight.

Played another session of my #Knave2e conversion of the #AFistFulOfFeathers over lunch yesterday.
Two things. We are continuing playing even if there are only two players available. Also, as suspected, combat is a lot more dicey. Even against relatively minor encounters.
I needed to remind the players that combat was gong to be even more dangerous and that they needed to eithe fight dirtier and set up advantages or run.
Still lots of fun. It is a great adventure.

Folding lamp to let me do #hex24 in poorly lit pubs.
Have now done a three deep hex flower for the latest map, using Sandbox Generator and #knave2e tables. My general flow is to roll up the contents with SG and then also roll some area traits on the Knave 2e tables, then mush those together to produce weirdness.

For the #Knave2E game jam, a scenario of a dungeon that is a giant instrument, built to trap a goddess in its unending song. Written by my partner, cover art by me!

I have decided that should my #Knave2e players ever stumble upon a Snail Knight spellbook, it will be a color-coded Snail Knight. They will be either a yellow, black, green, red, pink, or blue knight.
If they ever collect all six colored snail knight summoning spellbooks and summon them all at the same time, a kaiju-sized snail knight in multi-colored armor will be summoned.

Looking for a setting for your next tabletop RPG adventure? I've published a system-agnostic setting formatted like a traveller's guidebook: https://hlashbrooke.itch.io/veneranda-isle-an-adventurers-guidebook
It includes creature stats for Knave, Cairn, and Lilliputian, and can be used in any game or system.

I ran a lunchtime session of my #Knave2e conversion of #AFistFulOfFeathers for my work colleagues.
They ended up saving two of their party members from being trapped and nearly drowning in quickmud and then had a good night's rest before being attacked by a twelve foot one-eyed crocodile when they were trying to cross a river the next day.
They were terrified.
It was a lot of fun.

I've published a new adventure written for both Knave and Mausritter with separate downloads for each game. It's called The Rending of the Sun and it's free to download until after the Knave jam is complete!
Includes beautiful art from @fersalvaterra.
Get it here: https://hlashbrooke.itch.io/the-rending-of-the-sun

I ran the first session of my #Knave2e conversion of #AFistfullOfFeathers for my lunchtime work group today. I think it went well.
One of the rival feather hunter groups is a flamboyant group of liars who tell improbable tall tales of their past exploits. I created a d12 table of micro-fiction based on old Baron Von Munchausen tales & other gibberish that I expanded & changed around for those stories. I think it went well. Looking forward to next week.

I picked up my #hex24 a bit after a period of doldrums. I'm doing 12 mile hexes in #pathfinder hexploration style though it doesn't really matter. I have a 10x10 grid of the area to the west of the current campaign and roll 2d10 for each one, then get some keywords from the #knave2e tables, and just bang something out.
Ideally something good but better crap than not at all: one of my recent ones was basically "lot of worms here, a keep too, you know what's in it? MASSIVE WORM".

I’m the list of tables to my #Knave2e Cheat Sheet/ Referee Screen - thing.
Thank you so much for putting this together! -
#RPGADay2024 Day 4: RPG with great art
I love the art for the Vaesen RPG. It's evocative. It has an opinionated style. It's mostly (all?) by the same artist, Johan Egerkrans, so it is cohesive and imposes itself onto the game, influencing how the game is received and played.
I love that.
Similarly, I love the art in Knave 2e by Peter Mullens. The art in that slim tome makes me want to play THAT game.

Day 7: GOOD FORM
My favorite form of #TTRPG book is digest sized. Games like #Knave2e and #Shadowdark where I can hold the book in my hand while I move a mini or draw a map. #RPGaDay2024

@Whidou Wow you are being on the forefront of new releases and actually playing them. I back #yoonsuin 2e myself. Sad to hear the didn't polish the useability for the table.
With #cairn 2e and also #knave2e I am very reluctant, because they didn't convince me through their campaign and in terms of #knave2e even disappointed quite a bit with the few glimpses I got from the videos of it. -

1. First RPG bought this year.
The first, and so far only, #RPG, that I have bought this year is Knave 2nd Edition by #BenMilton (aka #QuestingBeast).
So far I am using it as a side step from the Cairn 1e RPG.
Both games scratch a similar itch for me and I like them both.

I spent my lunch hour converting the #AFistfulOfFeathers #CairnRPG to #Knave2e so I could run it for my work #TTRPG lunchtime group while one of our players is at #GenCon.
I'm getting the hang of these monster conversions to Knave's system. Still can't do it on the fly, but getting close.

In this latest episode of the podcast I'm talking about my first experience of running #Knave2E by #BenMilton of #QuestingBeast fame, how it went and what I think the system is good for:
We also have a call-in by long-time listener Ricardo about a previous episode.

#NateTreme's "What Child Is This?" adventure for DnD 5e, published by his #HighlandParanormalSociety, sounds like it would be fun to run for my daughters. In it, the adventurers escorts a baby god to its final destination, changing diapers along the way.
It is not very long, so a conversion should be easy. If anyone has notes for converting DnD 5e to Knave, please share. There're some on the Cairn website for that game.
