Desert Island Discs guests must also choose one song of the eight to save, should the waves take the rest.
Not sure I can choose a favourite from my game choices.
Maybe Indy 500 or F15II. Arg!

How about you, shipwreckmates?
What would be your choice of gaming book and gaming luxury, to add to your #7gamestoknowme game collection?

Desert Island Diskettes:

I have an addition to #7gamestoknowme along the lines of UK radio show Desert Island Discs.
In the show, guests share 8 songs they would listen to while shipwrecked on an island. You get a book, plus the Bible and Works of Shakespeare, and must choose a luxury item.

My game choices are above.
One's choice of beach-side gaming setup is assumed.
Book: M1 Tank Platoon manual
Luxury: Amstrad AJ-5 joystick

Note; the Bible would be under the PC, to keep it off the sand.

#7GamesToKnowMe, because it sounds like fun.

#Mario is the first game I remember, as in the Mario / Duck Hunt combo cartridge on the original NES. I think I had been exposed to video games before that, but this is the oldest memory I have of actually playing games.

#BeyondGoodAndEvil was probably the first game I fell in love with. I still adore that world and the characters within it.

#DJHero - Both the first and second games were some of the most fun plastic instrument games I've ever played. I wanna play them again someday, but I need to repair my Xbox 360 first.

#ROSEOnline was my first ever MMORPG. It has a cute style and was simple to play. I still have fond memories of it.

#Shantae and the Pirate's Curse was my first Shantae game and I immediately fell in love with the character. She is one of the few characters I adore in video games.

#EuroTruckSimulator2 was one of the games that showed me I can enjoy simulators and work games.

#Spelunky - This is the game that showed me I could enjoy rouge-likes/lites. Since then I have played many more games in those genres.

And that's pretty much it! There's other games I could talk about, but I'm limited to 7 here, so that's all you get 😝
