Back to the #MastersOfTheUniverse movie, as I build out Grahärden for the B-Team in my #ShadowDark campaign.
At one tine, it was a subterranean goblin settlement which protected a massive chasm leading into the monstrous depths. The dwarves conquered it and built a citadel above and below.
When an isolationist wave gripped the dwarves, they retreated north ... and the humans moved in.
Needless to say, it's seen better days.

It's complicated, but if I had my druthers, I'd be introducing brand new players to the game of D&D by running Shadowdark RPG. I think it's the easiest way to learn the game, way more than 5e's cumbersome character creation process.

I'm sure at some point my #Shadowdark players are going to learn to break out the dictionaries when I start giving them place names.
There was a swamp with creepy low-lying mists which warped the plant life. The swamp's inhabitants could open the bark on mist-shrouded trees to reveal eyes they could scry through.

@Tim_Eagon I was looking at the PDF earlier and that's a *lot* of new classes.
We have a #shadowdark group in my office who play on Thursday lunchtimes, I might see about dropping some of the Western Reaches content in once I've had a chance to have a proper look through it :)

I’ve been flipping through the new Western Reaches Player’s Guide PDF instead of mowing my lawn, and I am really liking the implementation of the new classes.
Also, congrats to Kelsey and her wife regarding their pregnancy!
