That last retweet from @SingleBass is fabulous. Jennifer was doing solo bass gigs a long time before me, and has been a source of inspiration since I first saw her play in the late90s/early 00s at the 12 Bar club!
She's a really important part of the story of solo bass in the UK, so it makes me really happy to hear new music from her :)

An old friend of mine died yesterday, someone who had a huge impact on my music life back in the 00s, and whose friendship I cherished even when we didn't get to see each other for many years. It's tough to make sense of in words, so I played this. It's called So Much Left Unsaid.

just posted a new video - 'It All Comes Together In The End' uses a much under-explored way of making music with a looper: looping the melody and then varying the chords underneath, rather than being stuck with the same four chord loop for hours. Give it a watch, it's fun ;)

Very cool dual bass record on Vanguard, from a live concert in 1975. Moore is the bassist from the group Oregon. Friesen played with Jack DeJohnette, Joe Henderson and others. Couldn't find any YouTube or spotify links for this one.
