I appreciate that some people can separate art from artist but I can't in this case. The close knit nature of open source makes this hit differently for me

this month i realized i love the #solarized theme, i used to hate it years ago.

it might not be the prettiest but damn it works so good on #HelixEditor , it has good contrast and since I've been using it i haven't found much use for light themes (except for 1-2 hours when i go to the office, the sun is hella bright in there)

@mwshook I've always been partial to #zenburn or #solarized, but #draculatheme can get the juices flowing.

Low-key cosplaying as #solarized color scheme today.

I really want to like #zellij but every time I try it out I am put off by the theming. For some reason, my favorite colorscheme #solarized light (which you first have to dig up) is quasi-unusable with it. Apparently zellij uses the 'white' color without a proper background for the command list. I guess that means tweaking the colors manually...

It took me a bit to find it, but #darkReader supports a #solarized (and other) colour scheme.

You first need to enable the new UI design https://github.com/darkreader/darkreader/pull/7110#issuecomment-1080008440.

Then
1. Dark Reader icon
2. See all options (bottom)
3. Colo(u)rs
4. Then select your favourite colour scheme

Decided to keep using Solarized Dark on my personal machine, but try Solarized Light on the work laptop. There's a dark theme for GNOME but no light one (that I can find), so system stuff doesn't match my nice Emacs and terminal colours; the white is really glaring. Any tips?

So here's my custom #Miniflux theme inspired by the #Solarized color scheme. While my coding skills are still FAR from good, I did have some AI help and I was fortunate to receive invaluable guidance from @markpitblado whose help made this possible.

the only thing I miss is that someone port the #solarized theme to #miniflux, sadly I don't have the knowledge of #css to do it myself. maybe I can try using some ai stuff to brute force my way and make it.

@herrbischoff I at least like the flexibility of https://github.com/tinted-theming (nee base16). But truly, for light color themes there’s solarized and gruvbox.

I actually have two based on my work’s brand guidance, and by reapplying the logic of #solarized to two different anchor points on the color wheel, using LCH[1] to tween the anchors and hand tuning some accent colors.

I should do it again for a non-Oracle branded color palette.
