Hi, I'm Joey. I'm a #linguist, more specifically a #sociolinguist and #phonetician, at #BYU. I do research on American English accents and dialects, with most of my recent focus being on #UtahEnglish.

I also think about methods and quantitative stuff a lot within the area of #sociophonetics. I like #rstats and #dataviz.

Time for an introduction! I'm a PhD student linguist with interests in #phonetics and #neuroscience. I primarily work on the neural bases of speech perception. I have other ongoing projects in speech production, #bilingualism, and #sociophonetics.
