This weekend, I got to make another trip to the Miss Tillie archive at Gerber/Hart. The very kind staff allowed me all the space and time I needed to really pore through her photo albums.
I love this photo of Tillie in the middle of 2 friends. I think it's from the Swing Bar in Dayton, in the late 1940s or early 1950s. I can't get over its irrepressible joy.
