宣伝のために SNS やってるなら #Instagram #X #Threads とかやるというのは「まあそりゃあそうか」と思う反面、SNS って「宣伝」のためのプラットフォームなんだっけ？という気持ちはずっとある。
そもそも、「宣伝じゃないもの（をなんと呼称していいのかスッと出てこないんだけど、プライベートなものの中にも他者と共有したり発信したいということはあるはずで、それ）」と「宣伝」って完全に綺麗に二分することも（自分は）できないんだよな…
なので、「宣伝のために割り切って」という気持ちで人の多い SNS に戻ることが出来ないでいるし、 #Matodon :mastodon: #Fediverse :fediverse: ⁂ いいぞという気持ちでここにいる

If nothing else there is a positive for the 'free' world the USA having/had Trump. The 'free' world had become (and maybe still is) complcent about it's own security. The joke is that is that is what Trump has said many times, but just watch if the rest of th 'free' world does step up and is no longer reliant on the USA for security. His language (kindergarten level it may be) ignores actual history and indicates that having the upper hand militarily is what gives this man baby huge pleasure.

Just updated my #Matodon instance to 4.5.1 released yesterday.
I had a strange scare where the `yarn install --immutable` command wasn't working, as if using an old yarn version.
Very strange, I forced to use latest node version (22 -> 24) and worked again.

I'm wondering when the electric shock stabs of pain will stop from the Lymph node removal I had at the same time as breast cancer surgery. It's been ten days since the surgery, I want it to stop!

Je trouve que ça serait super que les différents clients du fediverse affichent de manière assez visible sur chaque message/pouet/photo/autre quel logiciel fait tourner l'instance qui a envoyé ça.
Il y a des gens je les follow depuis des lustres je savais même pas qu'ils ne sont pas sur Mastodon en fait.
Ça aiderait à faire connaître d'autre logiciels et aussi a faire bien intégrer à tout le monde que tout ça peut se mélanger!

Que lindo e interesante el #fediverso, empecé a publicar bastantes fotos (que ya tenía) en mi #pixelfed y lo lindo es que no tenés que tener cuenta en pixelfed para seguirme, tu app de #matodon puede mostrarte el feed y seguirme y poner like si querés.
La interoperabilidad es genial 🧡

With 100 more the picture desn't change that much: #Matodon clearly in the lead, but it absolutely shows, that is possible to reach an audience beyond that in the #Fediverse. Not to forget, there were many many many likes in #Lemmy before the post was deleted at lemmy.world.

How I see it ... The difference between #Matodon and #bluesky, #threads and #Xitter ....
They all reflect the real life society we are all in. But Mastodon doesn't have the algorithms boosting the creepy stuff and making it show up as easily. You need to be following users or tags explicitly to catch it. Or block users/instances for your own account, which happens individually.
So each of us Mastodon users are more empowered to shutdown the spread of information we don't like.
But regardless of the platforms, it does not stop racists posting racist posts.
However, on Mastodon you can have instance moderators actually intervening and blocking/kicking out such users. Or block instances only providing content the moderator wants to protect its users from.
And that's the big difference from #bluesky, #threads and #Xitter ... those centralised services can block a user - and everyone notices it.
That's not how the #federated world works. Which has both pros and cons.

La app Tuba para Gnome me parece casi perfecta. Al nivel de Mona en macOS/iOS, y Mona cuesta sus dineros. Tan solo echo en falta tres detalles: notificaciones agrupadas, filtrar menciones con un botón en las notificaciones, y fijar una lista en la barra lateral.

Vale, acabo de probar #Mastify y los botones están un poco chusqueros. No he podido pulsar en los del menú lateral, o editar mi perfil, por ejemplo.
Es una pena, porque en el apartado visual, es de lo mejor que he visto para #Matodon en #FDroid , pero bueno, a veces es lo que hay con el código abierto. Me quedo con Moshidon por ahora.
Mantendré la app en la sección de favoritas de Droid-ify. Quiero ver cómo progresa, e incluso cambiarme a esa si empieza a ser útil

After all, the core #Matodon team is _tiny_. I mean, I work for a mid-sized IT company, and even the software development team in our department alone is several times larger. But if there was an easier way of spreading the development of optional features around...

Jetzt mal ganz brutal: Ein Beitrag, der 1/, 2/ und 3/ vor jeden Tröt schreiben muss, ist drei Zeichen * Anzahl der Tröts länger, als wenn alles in einen Tröt passen würde. Kannste dann in CO2 umrechnen.
Auch relevant: Man kann zerstückelte Tröts nicht so schnell schreiben, sitzt also länger dafür vor dem Bildschirm, was auch Energie verbraucht.
Lustig wäre mal ein #Matodon-#Twitter-Vergleich, denn Twitter muss alle Tweets für alle Nutzer*innen zentral vorhalten. Bei Mastodon ist das anders. Nicht jede*r sieht alles. Dafür sind vielleicht die Server weniger ökologisch oder andersrum.
