Kod iOS 27 zdradza całą linię iPhone’ów 18 – sześć nowych modeli
W kodzie iOS 27 beta 5, o której pisaliśmy wczoraj rano, Macworld znalazł odniesienia do wszystkich sześciu nadchodzących modeli iPhone’a — od iPhone’a 18 Pro, przez iPhone Ultra, po iPhone’a Air 2 planowanego dopiero na przyszły rok.
Jak informowaliśmy na iMagazine, Apple udostępniło wczoraj piątą betę iOS 27 z nowymi ikonami i rozszerzoną personalizacją głosu Siri. Jak się okazuje, ta sama beta kryje w sobie coś znacznie ciekawszego dla obserwatorów przecieków — pełną mapę drogową iPhone’a na najbliższe kilkanaście miesięcy.
Jak pierwszy zauważył serwis Macworld, o czym pisze 9to5Mac, iOS 27 beta 5 zawiera odniesienia do sześciu niewydanych jeszcze modeli iPhone’a, obejmujących całą linię iPhone’a 18, iPhone’a Air 2 oraz nadchodzącego składanego iPhone’a Ultra. Odniesienia znaleziono w plikach systemowych związanych ze sterownikami baterii oraz funkcjami Battery Intelligence.
Kod zawiera wyłącznie wewnętrzne identyfikatory Apple, nie nazwy marketingowe — ale na podstawie wcześniejszych przecieków, które śledziliśmy na iMagazine praktycznie od miesięcy, można je dość precyzyjnie dopasować do konkretnych produktów:
- V62: iPhone Air 2
- V63: iPhone 18 Pro
- V64: iPhone 18 Pro Max
- V67: iPhone 18
- V68: iPhone Ultra (składany iPhone)
- V69: iPhone 18e
Sam kod nie zdradza żadnych dodatkowych szczegółów technicznych tych urządzeń — to potwierdzenie samego istnienia i przybliżonej struktury linii produktowej, nie konkretnych specyfikacji. Warto jednak zestawić to z tym, co już wiemy o harmonogramie: Apple ma rozpocząć cykl iPhone’a 18 już w przyszłym miesiącu, prezentując iPhone’a 18 Pro i 18 Pro Max razem ze składanym iPhone’em Ultra. Pozostałe trzy modele — standardowy iPhone 18, budżetowy iPhone 18e oraz iPhone Air 2 — mają trafić na rynek dopiero na początku 2027 roku, w ramach nowego, rozdzielonego na dwie fale harmonogramu premier Apple, o którym pisaliśmy przy wielu wcześniejszych okazjach.
To, że wszystkie sześć modeli pojawia się już teraz w kodzie systemu operacyjnego przygotowywanego na wrześniową premierę, dobrze pokazuje, jak daleko w przód sięgają dziś przygotowania inżynieryjne Apple — i jak niewiele w praktyce da się dziś ukryć przed uważnymi obserwatorami plików bety.

O ex-designer da #Apple, Jon Stoa, compartilhou em sua página pessoal alguns dos projetos nos quais trabalhou na empresa entre 2006 e 2008. O mais intrigante deles, como destacou a #Macworld, possivelmente é o conceito de um "iPod retrô" de edição limitada, que seria projetado com um visual bem ligado ao ano de 1984 (baseado no #Macintosh original, na tipografia clássica e no logo em arco-íris na parte traseira).

Reading a 1991 #MacWorld article about "low cost Macintoshes" ($2,450 to $8,850 in today's money, lol).
Kind of surreal how it predicted #Apple's then-future financial woes, although screaming Chicken Little over the supposedly paltry 30% profit margin is already a very late-stage-capitalistic mood. One very interesting tidbit is that Apple up until that point spent an average of 750 USD marketing EACH UNIT (total marketing budget / yearly sales, I'd surmise). WOOOOOOOOW.
Also, there's an inset article asking if Sculley (the CEO that fired*/took over from Jobs) was worth his 16.7 million** USD salary/bonuses/benefits.
lol, that'd be a budget McCEO today!
*More like Jobs tried to fire him, but he had too many friends on the board, IIRC.
**Early 32-bit era humor/irony or just coincidence: 16.7 million is also 2^24, a.k.a. the number of colors reproducible by a non-HDR "truecolor" display

Notice how quickly the image opened on the old Mac running the old macOS when Steve clicked the image. ~2005. It should be using HDD even.

Very cool old tutorial. First you open HUE / red channel then make a range smaller to pick up only dark red areas, shift HUE to the most left, to see the selection better, tweak the range again, to perfectly match areas that you want to fix. And then move HUE back from 0 to right, more to yellowish side. Very cool.

@BasicAppleGuy Amazing OS X is 24 years old, 25 if you include the Public beta and its unveiling at #Macworld 2000 with Aqua. In 2001 when OS X launched, Mac OS 9 was 17 years old. So, OS X has a more solid foundation, jumped two CPU architectures, switched file systems, multiple redesigns, spawned multiple offshoots - iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, Vision OS.

Just some tips and tricks you can do with Netscape on your mac, like pressing command-N to open a new browsing window. Now you can "be two places at once in the nowhere of cyberspace"
And check it out, the Macworld article is still viewable via the Wayback Machine!

If you’re looking for a new #keyboard for your #Apple #Mac, #MacWorld has a nice feature with a load of deals for #BlackFriday. Now, I had (until recently) an MX Keys for Mac I accidentally dropped and a corner of it just shattered, so it’s not quite as sturdy as they claim. I replaced it with an MX Keys Mini (refurbished on Amazon for $45) and whilst not as massive, is still very nice and has updated function keys. #hardware https://www.macworld.com/article/668394/the-best-keyboards-for-mac.html

I guess it’s fair that #Macworld’s David Price put ‘confirmed’ in quotes, but it is potentially misleading. Sure, a Barclays analyst has seen clear evidence that the #iPhone #SE4 is likely shipping early next year, but nothing is for sure with the #Apple of today. Mid-range phones are hot these days, however, so I think this #rumor has merit.
