Visited #Tahoe this week and was in #SanFrancisco for a bit. Visited my friend Josh, and I spotted a marimba in his room and was like “can you play?”
My friends are very talented.

It happened again. macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 (after the security update) has once again unlocked itself spontaneously from the lock screen.
I verified it was on the lock screen. The display went to sleep. I woke it up, re-verified it was on the lock screen.
I checked later, and it was unlocked again.

I keep finding that macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 keeps *unlocking* itself from the lock screen.
I use a hot corner (“Lock Screen”), I verify that it is locked, it is on the lock screen.
I go out, I come back, the Mac is unlocked.

On macOS Tahoe, is there any way to disable (or fine tune) snapping of widgets on the desktop? They snap to annoying positions, and once you place one it affects other placements/snapping.

Anecdotal:
After applying the macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 security update, Apple's /usr/bin/ssh (OpenSSH_10.3p1, LibreSSL 3.3.6) is no longer caching by default the passphrase for the identity key used in an ssh session without explicitly adding it to ssh-agent.

Edit/update: Keyboard Maestro has a cron and a periodic trigger, which will probably be the easiest/quickest solution for what I'm looking for right now. Thanks for reminding me, @Tom !

I see in macOS Tahoe that Apple has buried “Limit IP address tracking” (to turn it off) in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Leopard.”
(“Limit IP address tracking by hiding your IP address from known trackers in Mail and Safari.”)

Apple's latest "security" #update for #macOS #Tahoe 26.6 is like a magician revealing the secrets of a magic trick - except they forgot to do the big reveal 🎩✨.
