Anyone out there have experience with the #Tahoe (Mac OS 26.x) #Firewall settings? I'm looking for help setting options and I need a brain or two to pick.

(Please don't tell me that I need to install a different Firewall or use some kind of open source program to meet my needs. I’d like to make the most of what I've already got installed. I am not a programmer and don't want to be one.)

On #macos #tahoe installed with #conda, I'm going slightly insane.

gnuradio (v3.10.12.0) depends on qt-main (v5.15.15)

gnuradio also depends on qwt (v6.3.0) which depends on qt6-main (v6.10.1)

So, now I have both qt5 and qt6 installed .. by the installer .. that fails when you attempt to run anything because there's two versions of qt installed.

Anyone?

Dziś wieczorem Apple udostępniło pierwsze bety systemów w wersji 26.4, które wnoszą całkiem sporo nowości.

Oczywiście najwięcej zmian / nowości znajdzie się w iOS 26.4

iOS 26.4 beta 1

• Aplikacja Muzyka
  • Playlist Playground – umożliwi tworzenie playlist na podstawie wpisanych przez nas kryteriów z wykorzystaniem AI. W wyniku otrzymamy listę z 25 utworami i automatycznie utworzoną nazwą;
  • aplikacja otrzyma nową opcję powiadamiającą o koncertach w pobliżu
  • albumy i playlisty będą miały pełnoekranowe grafiki
• Apple Podcasts – umożliwi oglądanie podcastów poprzez wykorzystanie technologii HLS (HTTP Live Streaming)
• Ochrona przed kradzieżą będzie teraz domyślnie włączona
• Aplikacja Wiadomości
  • Dodano szyfrowanie End-to-End dla wiadomości RCS
  • Dodano kilka nowych animacji, jak np. podczas tworzenia nowego czatu
• Aplikacje, w których można podejrzeć ustawienia konta Apple (np. App Store, Apple Music) mają teraz ujednolicony widok tych ustawień
• Dodano nowy widżet umożliwiający uruchamianie muzyki ambient
• Zarówno w ustawieniach iPhone'a jak i aplikacji Watch obsługującej Apple Watch pojawi się możliwość pobrania pakietu tapet z każdej z dostępnych kategorii
• Została udostępniona zaktualizowana wersja aplikacji Freeform z elementami dostępnymi dla subskrybentów Creator Studio, jak chociażby wysokiej jakości grafiki, zdjęcia, ilustracje oraz narzędzia umożliwiające tworzenie i edycję zdjęć przy pomocy AI
• W aplikacji Przypomnienia pojawi się nowa kategoria – Pilne, w której pojawią się przypomnienia z zaznaczoną opcją pilnego powiadamiania
• W ustawieniach, w sekcji dotyczącej iCloud, na samym końcu pojawiła się kategoria „iCloud.com”, w której można włączyć dostęp do naszych danych w chmurze z poziomu serwisu icloud.com
• Dodano możliwość przekazywania powiadomień do urządzenia firmy trzeciej – można przekazać je tylko do jednego urządzenia naraz

macOS Tahoe 26.4 beta 1

• Pojawiła się możliwość ustawienia limitu ładowania baterii znana z ustawień iPhone'a
• Przywrócona została możliwość włączenia kompaktowych zakładek w aplikacji Safari (również w iPadOS 26.4)
• Podczas uruchamiania aplikacji korzystających z Rosetta 2 pojawi się komunikat o zakończeniu wsparcia w nadchodzącej wersji macOS 27

W pozostałych betach systemów, tj.:

• watchOS 26.4 beta 1
• tvOS 26.4 beta 1
• oraz visionOS 26.4 beta 1

nie odnotowano zauważalnych zmian i nowości.

If after updating to MacOS 26 #Tahoe your Mac no longer offers you resolutions higher than 1920x1080 and mis-identifies your display as ITE-something on your #StarTech USB-C to HDMI 4K60p adapter, ensure you are using a sufficiently rated HDMI cable; if you use a 4K KVM switch like Aten, check *all* HDMI cables between the Mac and the 4K display accordingly.

After replacing hitherto working HDMI cables with #HDMI21 cables, my ASUS ProArt display is correctly identified and offers 4K60p again.
