Aujourd'hui j'ai fait de la conduite et du freinage d'urgence sur plateau, ça montre bien le pouvoir extrêmement théorique des freins sur route humide et revêtement glissant.

Debout sur les freins, l'utilitaire lancé à 30 km/h dans une descente ne s'arrête même pas.

Je suis maintenant complètement convaincu que les freins sont un scam pour nous faire acheter des plaquettes et autres trucs inutiles. Je ne freinerai plus jamais.

Today, I learnt that when using a descending loop variable, it should never be unsigned; otherwise, there will be an overflow when decrementing. It's an exciting mistake and a cool realisation!

😵 Dark mode just cost me two straight days of work at least. How? Just look at the picture below and witness things appearing out of nothing.

Background info: I like #Futo #LouisRossmann and the #ConsumerRightsWiki and planned to do a drive-by-contribution so that they get a proper logo.

And, yes, I DID search thoroughly for an existing logo. Now that I'm almost finished I turned on dark mode by accident and was baffled. Looks like all my work was for nothing.

I think the last session was a milestone in my development as a GM: I presented the initial situation to my players, asked "What do you do?" and then simply shut up.
For what felt like an eternity, but probably was half a minute or less.
And then my players started to (inter)act and the session just flew by.

Prolonged use of the Visual Studio Server add-on in #HomeAssistant could cause your CPU usage to spike. If your system seems overloaded, verify whether the add-on is still running and close it if it’s not actively needed.

I made myself a simple #automation which stops forgotten addons

Quite ironically, even if we took the M10 tram, it would have been stuck in the same traffic jam and we very likely would have missed the train.

@Snoro a result of building this vast #hydropowerplant they were putting #AllEggsIn1Basket ... You end up with a non-resilient #Powergrid. Had the Zambian government (and the foreign investors) instead spent their money and effort on distributed and locally produced & owned energy sources like geothermal, solar, wind, and biomass their energy supply would be much more secure ... #LessonLearned #distributedsystems #LocalPowerGeneration
