A spoilt vote here is definitely a sign of dissatisfaction with the system denying the electorate a wider choice. It’s an active protest by people energized enough to go to polling station to make their voice heard, not an act of laziness or stupidity.

I had missed that Renua had rebranded as the Centre Party. I mean, the name was red flaggy as all hell and the website reinforced that (imagery is so deeply USian right wing badness), but yeah, that simple rebrand info would have been enough. #irlpol

Interesting point in making the transition from #IrishTwitter to #Mastodaoine.
I made this post last night about a (really badly designed, neoliberal) survey on #ClimateChange from the Irish government on both twitter and #Mastodon at the same time.
Both have the same number of RTs/Boosts as of now. I wonder if Mastodaoine, #IrishMastodon is getting enough mass to make it a good place to share and discuss for #IrishPolitics. #irlpol
