Giornata Internazionale della Barzelletta!

☕ Il 1° luglio torna la International Joke Day, la giornata mondiale dedicata alla barzelletta, alla risata improvvisa, al sorriso che scoppia anche quando non dovrebbe. Una ricorrenza nata negli Stati Uniti negli anni ’90 (la paternità è spesso attribuita al comico americano Wayne Reinagel, grande promotore dell’umorismo quotidiano) e diventata nel tempo un piccolo fenomeno internazionale: oggi è celebrata da scuole, radio, festival di stand‑up e persino da alcune aziende che, per un giorno, sostituiscono le riunioni con sessioni di “comic break”.

🌍 Cosa c’è di nuovo nel 2026

Quest’anno la Giornata Internazionale della Barzelletta si presenta più vivace che mai:

• TikTok ha lanciato la challenge #JokeDay2026, invitando gli utenti a raccontare la barzelletta più breve del mondo. Il video vincitore, secondo le prime indiscrezioni, sarà trasformato in un filtro animato.
• In Europa nasce il primo “Joke Bus Tour”, un autobus itinerante che attraversa cinque capitali (Madrid, Parigi, Bruxelles, Berlino e Roma) con comici emergenti che improvvisano sketch tra una fermata e l’altra.
• Le biblioteche americane propongono il “Borrow a Joke”, un servizio che permette di prendere in prestito una barzelletta stampata su cartoncino, da regalare a qualcuno durante la giornata.
• In Italia cresce il trend delle “barzellette gourmet”, mini‑racconti comici serviti nei menu dei ristoranti come amuse‑bouche letterario.
• Le scuole primarie sperimentano il “compito felice”, un esercizio di scrittura creativa in cui i bambini devono inventare una barzelletta che non prenda in giro nessuno: solo oggetti, animali e situazioni buffe.

😄 Perché festeggiarla

Perché ridere è una forma di igiene emotiva. Alleggerisce, unisce, scioglie tensioni e – secondo alcuni studi – migliora persino la memoria. E poi, diciamolo: in un mondo che corre, una barzelletta ben piazzata è come un piccolo freno a mano che ci ricorda che la vita non è solo produttività, ma anche leggerezza.

The great Garbo was known for her beauty, her coolness, her tragedy, everything but her laughter. So typecast she became that the tagline for *Ninotchka* (1939) – Garbo laughs! – is a #joke in itself.

Penned by the great #BillyWilder, the Ernst #Lubitsch directed comedy unexpectedly revived #Garbo's career, who by the time 1938 came around had become box office poison.
