Giornata Internazionale della Barzelletta!
☕ Il 1° luglio torna la International Joke Day, la giornata mondiale dedicata alla barzelletta, alla risata improvvisa, al sorriso che scoppia anche quando non dovrebbe. Una ricorrenza nata negli Stati Uniti negli anni ’90 (la paternità è spesso attribuita al comico americano Wayne Reinagel, grande promotore dell’umorismo quotidiano) e diventata nel tempo un piccolo fenomeno internazionale: oggi è celebrata da scuole, radio, festival di stand‑up e persino da alcune aziende che, per un giorno, sostituiscono le riunioni con sessioni di “comic break”.

Quest’anno la Giornata Internazionale della Barzelletta si presenta più vivace che mai:
- TikTok ha lanciato la challenge #JokeDay2026, invitando gli utenti a raccontare la barzelletta più breve del mondo. Il video vincitore, secondo le prime indiscrezioni, sarà trasformato in un filtro animato.
- In Europa nasce il primo “Joke Bus Tour”, un autobus itinerante che attraversa cinque capitali (Madrid, Parigi, Bruxelles, Berlino e Roma) con comici emergenti che improvvisano sketch tra una fermata e l’altra.
- Le biblioteche americane propongono il “Borrow a Joke”, un servizio che permette di prendere in prestito una barzelletta stampata su cartoncino, da regalare a qualcuno durante la giornata.
- In Italia cresce il trend delle “barzellette gourmet”, mini‑racconti comici serviti nei menu dei ristoranti come amuse‑bouche letterario.
- Le scuole primarie sperimentano il “compito felice”, un esercizio di scrittura creativa in cui i bambini devono inventare una barzelletta che non prenda in giro nessuno: solo oggetti, animali e situazioni buffe.

The launch was today, so I can officially talk about what I was doing!
New ITIL has launched and I was on the authoring team! I was lead author for the brand new ITIL (version 5) Product book!!!
The PeopleCert team was absolutely incredible, and I have had the honour of working with the rock stars of my career across the entire new set of knowledge. The entire team is diverse, international, kind, and brilliant!
Having a little happy dance today in the middle of all the political things that are worrisome, rage-inducing, and out of my control, and it’s a really nice change.

Such a lovely day today. I was at the pool just before 8.30 & straight into it. 1.5km & an 1 & a half hrs later I was done & happy. Came home got changed & tidied up & was picked up before noon by my friend & off we went for lunch. Veggie quiche & salad for me & it was enormous, I couldn’t get through it all. There’s a fabulous gift store & nursery attached to the cafe & we all had a lovely time checking everything out. Some things were bought, but I saved my purchases for the nursery. I came across a herb supposed to help memory, one I’d never heard of before & apparently also good in salads or tea, so I tasted it - it was foul tasting, I had to spit it out. Still I bought some purple basil & chamomile & I’ll plant them in the morning when it’s cooler. Next my friend had a big list of things she wanted to get from Bunnings, so off we went there & it certainly was a big list. It was actually a lot of fun seeing all the stuff that our biggest Bunnings has, there is definitely a load of the weird & wonderful items in there. We were in there for ages. I checked out a few pots that were a good size for so plan to go back after Christmas & New Year. Arrived home close to 4pm a bit tired but very satisfied, fruit & yoghurt for my dinner. It’s the simple things ☺️. #GoodFriends #GoodDay #HappyDay

Today was a good day, quite successful in all we did. Started with my daughter & grandson spending a couple of hours with us being given pretend cups of tea by said grandson & also crawling around the floor with the paw patrol vehicles & figurines.
After they left we went down to the second hand shop to look for a pot for my new plant. Found that along with some lovely black trousers, shorts for summer & another little paw patrol vehicle for grandson. Off to the plant farm & cafe for lunch which was scrumptious & checked out the citrus, came home with a dwarf Tahitian lime & Valencia orange trees. Once home I sorted out a part of the garden for them & they are now settled in the ground ready for spring. #HappyDay -
